"I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, Unclog anything or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training". I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have Been Trained In culvert inspections for years with private co) osha trained,
:Exploring Abandoned Anything can be dangerous or Deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks & responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. Their could be nails, Asbestos, Falling concrete soft floors, animals or other hazards. wow it annoys me to hear people say that train station couldnt have been renovated. Theres buildings in britian in much worse state that have been restored easily with absolutely no danger to anyone involved

Thank you very much for this interesting selection of videos, it certainly is a sad case concerning the old railway station, which, as you quite rightly said, could have been dealt with in a different way. In fact bearing in mind the roof was in such good condition, it could have been removed in sections, indeed the building could have been supported both outside and inside to support and straighten it up while they were renovating the building. Too late now but lets hope that a reasonable structure is put up in its place.

I know how you feel about the train station. So many beautiful Gold Coast mansions in Glen Cove NY have been demolished, it's just so sad. Historic places, gone forever. And the latest was my favorite beautiful old abandoned barn next to Oscar's Smokehouse in Warrensburg, NY. Torn down to make a parking lot for a car dealership. Like the old song said, pave paradise and put up a parking lot.

When I lived in Minnesota the long trains that came through our neighborhood were taconite trains from the iron range. As kids we would always gather pockets full of taconite pellets off the tracks for our slingshot ammo.

Just a shame that some rich idiots decided that a restorable structure wasn't worth saving, but that's rich people for you, I like these deleted videos, are you going to have a"bloopers" reel someday? Post 10 is an amazing guy who does the right thing clearing blocked drains and culverts with the beautiful and gracious Ghost 10 at his side to be the protector of beaver blocking bombardier of New England, love these videos you two, keep them coming

The CSX train was actually hauling coke, not coal. If you notice some of the hopper’s are painted with “Coke Express”. As for the lack of graffiti, cars where loaded at a coke works that is fenced off from trespassers. The same when they are unloaded for the steel mill’s blast furnaces. Enjoy all your videos!

If I had known before and donated I'd be fuming now. I'd be surprised if anyone gives them another red cent. Wow, that's a pricy bit of land. I work in construction and new owners may get a shock when they find out how much costs have increased. Maybe not, as you say, some people have incredibly deep pockets. I'm thankful because they've kept me busy the last 35 years.

At the 22 minute retention pond thing, now days its common to build under ground filtration systems that are under the parking lots or under newer re-done roads before dumping into a waterway ive assembled a few.

For the train station. Perhaps they just didnt get enough Money to do a full restoration on it. Or, couldnt find anyone to do the work on restoring it. OR maybe couldnt get permits or permission to do the work on it. There could be many different reasons on why they tore it down though and did not restore it. btw the 55 gallon drums are not worth the hassle for alot of people to pick up and bring to scrap yards. As many Scrap Yards wont take them, unless certain things are done with them first. due to what have might of been inside of them. Some scrappers just dont want to deal with them due to that reason. Some scrappers will take them and do the extra work to clean them out and resell them on the side as Burn Barrels which most ppl will sell them for *depending on area you live in* between $25 and $50 For ONE. People do buy them all day long for that price range too. But again depends on area you live in and have to clean them out before selling them.

Our walmart in eastern Iowa has an access road behind it that also leads to the entrance of a quarry. We also don't have any sort of retention pond. It backs up on the quarry and there are other businesses on the other sides.
