Unclogging the Hudson River Culvert by Removing a Huge Beaver Dam

Hello ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!
In today's video I visit the Hudson River culvert and discover a beaver has built a massive dam at the entrance. Watch as I tear it apart and drain the thousands of gallons of water held back. I hope you all enjoy this video.
Some have asked how they could help support the channel, so I made a couple of t-shirt designs as well as a hooded sweatshirt for anyone interested in helping out but also getting something in return.

For all the "Chain saw" comments I did return with a chainsaw a few days later. check it out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PnBYMM0zN6Y.html Thanks for watching!

I had a summer job in the oil patch in N. Alberta. One of our jobs was to unplug culverts that the beavers had dammed. So being the rookie I had to crawl up the culvert from the down stream side and pull the dam apart. The first branch I pulled caused the whole dam to release. The water flushed me out like a turd in a toilet.

@@shirleyanneyoung955Post 10 actually started a fad. lots of copycats. it's a good work to do like this, volunteer work. but it's dangerous in some cases and Post 10 is OSHA trained. I don't know how many of the copycats are. I doubt very few. but they do it for views. they see how popular Post 10 is and they just want to do the same thing. but if they don't know what they're doing they could get into serious trouble either with the law or physically.

If you look closely throughout the video, there are signs of beavers everywhere. Partially cut trees along the shore, beaver cut sticks in the pile, mud and leaves mixed and placed up high in the dam as well as all the sticks with the bark chewed off. I'm going to order a trail cam and leave it down there to put this debate to rest lol.

It has been mentioned before, but an electric chainsaw with a 30 cm blade could save you a lot of energy and allow the water to help move the mud. The shortened pieces of tree trunk are also much less likely to get stuck again at the end of the culvert. Greetings from the Netherlands.
