Just that you know, this old vet is a fourth generation vet, all brothers, uncles uncles and so one served. My an ancestors fault for the Union under Abraham Lincoln the first Republican president. I was told by my dad that you will never true good or evil if you can't see past the shell it comes in. The government twists everything including history. As for white privilege!? I exist as a divorced vet, with TBI and PTSD, under a VA program for homeless vets. If it was for food banks and pantries, I wouldn't eat. Most of my time ( just like now) I spend alone, doing this to keep my mind out of the dark battle within. So if there was some white privilege out there, I sure in the hell missed that boat. Before people start saying the government should of did better for us vets!? Well the government never promised me anything I didn't get and never even said I would live through it. Also, I didn't do it for the government and my oath was to the people. Now, I could point at the world and cry like a little bitch, but that's BS. Every step I took in life was mine and no one else's and it was my steps that placed me here and I live them like everyone lives theirs. What truly makes people different is their thought process and not the color of the shell. But hell what do I know, I'm just an old white man with one foot from the streets and wake up thinking shit another day lol.
There is no reason for us to be caught up in the hate. We are all the same race, the human race. My ancestry may be out of Spain and Mexico but we all brothers and sisters. #hangovergang forever 🤙🏽

My dad was a life long building contractor and taught me that there are jackasses in all races and what have you, but don't put yourself out of work because you don't want to work for any race, creed, sexual orientation or whatever...he taught me not to hate, you'll have some bad experiences which have nothing to do with race or whatever the situation may be
Great reaction bro 👍 My two cents on the reparation conversation.(hey that rhymes) From what I have read, reparations have worked best when given to the generation that was affected, or the following generation. The farther away from that you get the trickier getting payments to the right people becomes, the less appreciative the recipient becomes, and the more likely to just waste it. But who knows when it comes to predicting human behavior? 🤷♂️ From what I've read Lincoln had a plan to give the freed slaves something along the lines of reparations, was it enough, probably not. But sadly in the end it would have been better than the nothing they did receive. You make excellent points about the injustices that occurred more recently than the end of the civil war. I believe those reparation conversations would be better received. Anyway, thank you so much for having the conversation Tom intended to spur on. He knows we all don't agree on everything he says, but just wants to get the conversation started. Having conversations helps us all see things a different way and understand where people are coming from. Maybe one day we can all move forward together. But until that day its just us marry band of misfits trying to lead the way 😂
Tom gets a lot of hate for songs like White Boy, If I Were Black, Straight White Male, etc by people who aren't really listening to the music and what he says in the songs. You should check out the video for WhiteBoy but it would be cool if you watched the WhiteBoy a before the shoot video and the the music video in the same reaction. The song is 6 years old. Tom explains why he wrote the song and what the message of the song was in the before the shoot video to the actors that were in the video. Tom has a lot of music that isn't political as well but every song has substance and a message pretty much. Tom got so much hate and backlash from WhiteBoy that he put out This House (WhiteBoy Response.) One of my favorite Tom songs, honestly.
Not too long after his first big song, he came out with Whiteboy. He got so much hate for that song, he came out with This House as a response. That's a straight up bars, no hook song. Pure fire! #HOG ❤ I think for the people i know are against reparations because it would come out of taxes. Therefore, those who weren't slave owners would be paying people who werent actually slaves.

#Hog4life much love. Watch anything about slavery from other countries. I'm Irish, and my ancestors were enslaved. It just isn't talked about as much. Slavery goes back to the Bible. No race is better than another one. We are all people that deserve love and respect. It's a huge history of slavery in the world. America was just more recent and talked about more.

I was just coming to mention the Irish, they were treated worse because they weren’t as physically strong as others. It was all evil regardless of color but I feel like no amount of money would make up for how our ancestors were treated and it would be never ending if we gave reparations to everyone that qualified. The funny thing is that I only see this battle between the races online and in political areas. In my day to day life, all I see are fellow citizens doing their best to get by. Maybe it is because of the city I live in but how many times a day does my phone tell me to hate someone I don't know?

The government did in the 1900s they gave them some of their land back but of course there was a catch. They let people of Caucasian descent pay $5.00 so they can recategorize themselves as indian and they took up most of the land that was given away smh Tomorrow im dropping a video on it.

@@jeffreyroberts2049 Thanks brother you are appreciated. I have looked into it, and yes the stats say that Caucasian people are unalived by cops more often. One thing people forget to mention is that they are also the majority in the US so by that stat alone they will have more deaths.

As long as its a case by case basis I have no problem I guess! Most things gov do are with a big wide brush that are all inclusive and I believe in very few absolutes! If there's a way to genetically know who deserves a modern day value of original promise im in ! Just know there were free black families that owned slaves that descendants shouldn't get paid .and many black Americans whose families didn't arrive here til after slavery! A conversation worth having i definitely don't have all the answers but am a big advocate for fair!
