Great high deflection shots with the gun! The thing you were trying to describe with the flaps on the mig-21 is called blown flaps, they divert high pressure bleed air from the turbine to slots in the wings in front of the flaps to delay boundary layer separation giving you a higher stable AOA on landing.

That landing was fine. Better to be a little firm in the touch down zone than float it halfway down the runway trying to grease it on. The sooner you gain braking authority the safer the landing is! But I get that it's a video game and smooth landings are more satisfying lol
Yeah I dropped the ball on the landing, came in really quick and was hoping I’d retain more energy than I did after dropping the gear - stubbornness over my own poor judgement was the only reason I didn’t increase throttle.
Nice one,now i know how to counter a mig21 in a sabre better. Keep pumping some vids,btw a4 radar sight on sabre if you turn it off enamy plane wont get the tone that someone is behind him and so on! :)
Yeah, turning that radar emitter off is the first thing I do when getting in it lol. Though it can actually work pretty well under certain circumstances
Just recently got the fishbed module and am getting into ECW. So far it seems like a fun plane to fly, but I am for now stuck in the phase where I'm losing sight of everything and kind of aimlessly flying around 😅
The flaps are not going to help except to increase your drag for very little lift. The 21 can turn really well when you are 50% fuel or less. Can turn with an f15c type of performance. Against a saber yeah just take it vertical and you win.
The landing flaps are blown flaps and actually do quite a lot for the lift, and sometimes intentionally increasing drag for the sake of lift is exactly what a situation calls for. As for a Fishbed competing with an F-15C? Maybe a J-7 variant might get somewhere near to being called close, or one of the lighter, earlier models, but the Bis doesn't stand a hope in hell, the wing loading and thrust of the F-15 Vs. any 21 variant aren't anywhere close to comparable.

You can’t do it with the 9B but with the others once you have tone you hold the uncage button, which is called something like “sight range 300/600 uncage button” can’t remember exactly off the top of my head.
