If you're looking for a hidden paradise to explore, look no further than Lazarus island! On this trip, you'll get to experience all three activities in different ways. You'll catch some amazing fish, snorkel and explore the crystal-clear waters of the island's beaches. In the air, you'll be able to fly your drone over the island's stunning landscape. I'll also show you how to explore the island with a drone, and how to easily catch fish on the island's fishing hotspots.
Lazarus Island is one of the eight islands that make the archipelago of the Southern islands. It is also known as Pulau Sakijang Pelepah. If you break it up - Sa means one, kijang stands for barking deer and pelepah means a palm leaf or a branch of palm tree. Put together, it means ‘One Barking Deer and Palms’. Though there are plenty of palm trees around the beach, there is no deer to be found in the whole Lazarus.
Joined with St. John’s Island through a concrete bridge, Lazarus Island falls in between St. John’s Island and Kusu Island. Together with Pulau Seringat, Lazarus Island stretches over a small patch of 47 hectare. Home to a natural sandy beach which is a rare sight in Singapore, Lazarus is small but complete with coral reefs, a thriving marine life, lofty hills and some endemic flora and fauna that gives this island its own distinct signature.
At the backdrop of the sun, sand and the sea, you could spend some quality time with your friends, family and colleagues under the shades of the trees. The beach is enveloped with a line of trees that provide natural shade to the travelers. Even this greenery adds to the beauty of the landscape as they are so well spread out just enough to make it a perfect place to spread a mat and sit together. It offers stunning natural beauty with its pristine beaches, clear waters, and lush greenery. It provides a serene and picturesque environment, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. And if you are a cat lover, you are sure to have some good quality time feeding and playing with cats.
Take a walk along the sea beach of Lazarus Island barefooted and feel the drifting sand under your feet. Walk a little closer to the water treading on the wet sand that immediately imprints your footmarks just to be washed away with the first crush of the waves.
While walking on the wet sand, feel the waves crashing on your feet caressing your feet gently. Hear the sounds of the waves. Feel the sun on your face and soak your eyes with the sprawling, enthralling turquoise water that lie as far as your eyes go. Feel the nature. Just a few kilometers apart from the most happening millennial city of Singapore, such peace and tranquility could even exist? Be one with nature.
The waters surrounding Lazarus Island are part of the larger South China Sea and are home to various species of marine life. Here are some examples of marine organisms commonly found in the region:
Coral Reefs: Coral reefs are underwater ecosystems that provide habitat for numerous species. They support a diverse array of marine life, including hard and soft corals, colorful reef fish, sea anemones, sea stars, and various types of crustaceans.
Fish: Lazarus Island and its surrounding waters are home to a wide range of fish species. Some common examples include trevally, scads, needlefish, butterflyfish, angelfish, parrotfish, damselfish, groupers, and clownfish.
Sea Turtles: Several species of sea turtles can be found in the region, including the green sea turtle, hawksbill turtle, and occasionally, the leatherback turtle. These gentle creatures use the beaches of Lazarus Island and the surrounding islands as nesting grounds.
Marine Invertebrates: Various types of marine invertebrates can be found in the waters around Lazarus Island. These may include sea anemones, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, jellyfish, and a wide range of colorful sea slugs.
Crustaceans: Crabs, lobsters, and shrimp are common crustaceans found in the area. The diverse rocky shores and sandy seabeds provide suitable habitats for these creatures.
How to get to the island:
1) Buy ticket from Marina South Ferries, booking via Klook is cheaper.
www.klook.com/en-SG/activity/...
2) Head to Marina South Pier MRT station (Red Line), Show Klook booking & ride the ferry.
3) Note: Buy lunch before entering the island, as there aren't any eateries there. Bring a lot of water (recommended 2L per person) if you are plan to walk all of southern islands!

Guys, do not swim near to the breaker as the current in Southern island such as lazarus or saint John is very very strong. Alot of cases of drowning around there please take note
