@@sadfool I think I'm going to get a exist sf 2500 since it's as small as a 2000 and lighter.. most my fish I catch are bass, mackerel, bonefish, sea bass, Bonito and other game fish mostly in 1 to 4 to 5 pounders.
@@sadfool san diego california..we have lots of nice fish here ...im just a bit worry in the long run on the SF reel as it dont have a ball bearing in the end of the pinion gear like the normal exist , but then again i pump pull with my rod and keep it nicer less load on the reel so should have any issues as the pinion gear still sits on 2 bearings , would been nice if they had 3 bearings...can see all my fish attheig bukon_fishing but youtube deletes when i mention other social mead lol

Hello thanks for the video im a beginner, can i do this with any rod combo like ul l m mh? and may i ask if using fc leader is a must? can i use straight braid 15lb. and must i let it sink to the bottom? thank you sorry for many questions
You can use any combo, just be wary you’re fishing high ground. Lighter line you have, you might need a GAFF to lift it up. FC is a must, I don’t fish without FC. Yes sink to the bottom and drag your live bait.
hey james wanna get your advice if my current setup is good enough to fish at lazarus. Rod: Shimano vengeance 6.6ft medium power. Reel: Twinpower 4000XG with 40lb mainline and 60lb leader.
@@DOMINOES369 the rod is very short (less casting range = less area scanning) to go for shore jigging, but you can try playing for reef fishes near the break waters. I believe there are big groupers hiding in the reef that aren’t caught yet. I suggest using weedless rig to prevent getting stuck as well. And yes if you’re after groupers, you should set to max drag, for pelagics (not too tight)
Hi buddy. Will try sometime around November-March (for sagai)! Quite inconvenient for me to go BJT now cause I moved to the far side of the north (Yishun)! Thanks for inviting 😍
The water facing Kusu Island has squid, don’t need to cast too far out, they’re hiding by the reef. For pelagics big fish, I recommend the linkway between stjohn and Lazarus island. Current there is fast and has a lot of snag spots. Use a long rod (shore jigging rod) if possible
@@sadfool I'm there fr Saturday morning to Sunday morning I'm playing after the link way near a small beach with a blue tent Do feel free to drop by for coffee if u happen to drop by
Honestly I'm torn about all the developments on the island. On one hand it would be nice to have a couple places to spend the night and some restaurants, but on the other hand it would be nice to keep them as natural and undeveloped as possible.
I spent 30minutes, it’s all about the tackle and knowing the best tide to go. This video is not chronological. I caught the fish in the morning, went to swim in the noon. Flew the drone 2 weeks later
Hi bro it had a hook when I used it, it broke afterwards hahaha. It’s a Daiwa tenya, it looks exactly like this Check out 'Tenya Daiwa', available at S$10 on #Carousell carousell.app.link/GPZ6dKl8gJb
This set up is for my shore pelagic jigging / eging. I’ve loaded a PE0.8 but this line has failed me plenty of times (lost a lot of good fish on this), it might be because the rod is too strong (Evergreen Salty Sensation Neo 82H) for the line. I suggest having a PE1.0 for this set up and it should be good 👌
