I'm a Texas boy now on Maui. All respect for the Hawaiian cowboys; tough people. I believe there was a group of Hawaiian cowboys (years ago now) that traveled to the US for a rodeo competition...story goes that the mainland cowboys poked fun at them (Da Paniolos) regarding their physical appearance, their dress, their horses...etc. If I'm not mistaken, the Paniolos kicked the crap out of the mainland cowboys! I totally believe it. Thanks for the nice video. Aloha from Maui.

Howdy. Thank's everyone for watching this video. I put in around ten hours to gather all of the information, videos, and images. With that being said, it would mean the world to me if you could like this video and share it with your friends. Thank you. #BroomtailCountry #BroomtailCavvy

great job!! I live on the Big Island about 45 minutes from the Parker Ranch in Waimea. There are some excellent books in print on the ranch and its history, which is intertwined tightly with the history of the Islands and Hawaiians, all the way back to King Kamehameha the First. Parker Ranch is still very large, somewhere around 150,000 acres (used to be twice that size), and the ranch is now owned in Trust for the benefit of the people of Waimea and surrounds.

Of course, I want to share as much history about cowboys and cattle as I can. It’s a unique Spanish, Hawaiian, Native American, and American history that few people know about.

“American” 🤨 this style of ranching came from Mexicans and was taught to Hawaiians before it became an “American” culture

Hey Breven, I used to live there, on Maui, and while they have huge cattle ranches on the Big Island of Hawaii and also on Molokai they have a Big one The King ranch on Maui. Lots O Cows bro. I did a lot of riding there and racing through pineapple fields in the rain and they had many open fields to Just run free. Hope you're doing well my brother.

That’s awesome Walter, one of my dreams is to ride/cowboy on Hawaii. I think it would be great to surf in the morning, saddle up for the day, and come home to some hawaiian barbeque. Absolutely live Hawaii

@@broomtailcountryif you’re serious, get ahold of Pono from Ponoholo Ranch above Waimea on the Big Island. Remember, regret is reserved for what you’ve done, not what you haven’t.🤙🏼🤙🏼🌴🌊🏄🏼🌋

The Spaniards taught the Hawaiians to build saddles, rope, lasso cows, ride horses. Parker Ranch has no early Cowboy history .
