I found exactly the same leak that has eluded me for 3 years.. Rusty screws in the leak area. Black trim had shrunk and was brittle. Thank you so much for the tip.
Do you know what size screws are holding these tracks? Im buying a camper that im doing a full roof reseal and want to have these ready to swap out. Thanks for the video. Just subscribed
Great video on sealing the camper. Hopefully it will inspire others to be proactive on maintaining their camper. Keep up the great vids! If possible, and were applicable, avoid using silicone on the exterior areas of the RV that may be needing to be touched-up/replaced/resealed on a regular basis. Additional applications to the silicone may not stick properly because of its properties and residue. Instead consider epdm or a product recommended by your manufacturer, which may be a silicone product, (but not likely). If you must apply a product after the removal of silicone proper cleaning is in order. YMMV
Cost to much. And it is all about saving money on the build. They only need it to not leak for 90 days on all new rv’s that is how long the roof leak warranty is on most.
