Religion is supposed to be spirtual by definition.

Modern religion is nothing but thousands of years of bad Fan-Fic writing, originally based on ancient mythology that pre-dated any montheistic belief system. The Biblical Flood is ripped right from the story of Gilgamesh, they just chaged the original names and places from Gilgamesh. Plato wrote "The Republic" at a time when Polytheistic traditions were tearing the Greek City-states apart. So, Plato took the myths from many different cultures, and extracted the Basic Concepts from those belief systems, to create a Monotheistic tradition tbag incorporated a lot of the themes of stable cultures. Monotheism was created to unite the Polytheistic traditions, so that the Greek Government could maintain their empire. Later, the Romans militarized Christian beliefs and enforced a singular god-emperor concept intot the culture of Rome. Modern Christianity is just thousands of years, of people creating self-justification loops and twisting the mythology to say what they want it to. According to German Census data, which is self-reporting; the population of Germany before, during, and after WW2 was 99% Christian. Many German Christians thought that "modern" Christians in the USA had been corrupted by Capitalism. Now, there is a very serious question you need to ask yourself. What is the actual Method, that you interpret Bible passages to get the "correct" meaning? The German Christians of WW2 had the same base materials any of you have access to, but came up with an entirely different interpretation of that book. How do you know you are "correct" in your interpretation of the Bible? For centuries, multiple Popes and Religious Leadership openly used the Biblical passages on Slavery to justify maintaining that system. I dare you to look up the argument "God turned Cain's skin black, therefore anyone with darker skin tone is a child of Cain, and can be enslaved." Not kidding, that was a long-standing argument, for Centuries within the Christian doctrines of the time period. It actually took people intentionally re-interpreting entirely different passages of the Bible, to create a justification to end slavery; but they're interpretations are flat out wrong.
