My dad bought quite a few cars from Ron Stratton in the 1980’s - he was a true gentleman,a lovely guy.His showroom in Wilmslow was a treasure trove of Ferrari,Porsche,Lamborghini and Mercedes models of the time.I remember seeing a nearly new Countach parked with Rons 288GTO and a Porsche 959 - all red. My dad preferred the normal MB models to the AMG stuff that Ron sold, much to my disappointment!
It was till 1998 then he went over to help BMW make the E36 shape models, I only know this because I use to own a e36 lat year & it was originally bought from A Stratton dealer because of this reason, they only use to sell cars in the Stratton dealer that he had summit to do with the build or design
Very Clean 300CE 3.2 AMG, love the color and interior details - another rare AMG Gem from the UK/Scotland with all the pedigree it deserves. Thank you Ron Stratton for making these artworks come to life & Thank you to the Patina Collective team for maintaining & sharing their wonderful collection with the world
@@matthiasbehr7988 Es ist definitiv nicht jedermanns Sache, da stimme ich zu! Aber es wurde von Denis, dem Vorbesitzer, sehr gut gepflegt😊 (sorry not quite fluent lol)
VICO!!! I love the individual focused on a specific car and how you present it in a away that shows the connection you have with every single car at your once in a lifetime collection. you do your walk arounds and instead of listing specs and pointing at shit you touch it , feel it , get on the same level as the part or feature you're showing us. I just dream of one day being as close to these cars because not on your level for sure but I am extremely knowledgeable about some of the cars here. remember I'm the asshole who types the manifesto when someone tells viewers hammer this or its a hammer-they are mistaken so I humbly put their ass on blast. I only do it so that people get the true scope of how rare and special the actual"hammer is was and could only be as described and verified by the legend that built many of them. I care and respect what AMG was able to do and a vast majority of people don't realize nothing hammer and the w126 have no relation except it sometimes used the engine with the same spec as a hammer but only w124's were hammers. hammer has to be 2 requirements. so when I see the passion and interaction that is so different for every car and you share it with us and will provide the only place in the WORLD where we can actually be 1 inch from the most spectacular tuned merc specific collection-fuck me am I dreaming???? seriously though if you can find the time to make more of these it would be awesome. I have questions about so many of your specific cars. I'd love to see some of the ones that are like what universal idea of what merc lovers think of in relation to which model. like the dark blue 6.0 w126 w/ single mono's that was one of the earlier cars you got. when I hear AMG 4 door I picture that car and since I saw my first back in 80's if its what I thought. I think r107 AMG I see that little white one with the pentas and euro front clip conversion. the w126 pick ups....... so many. this video will 100% turn many children who see something like this and they turn into a car guy for life. that is that most incredible thing someone can do for these cars so please understand you are creating more than just videos of the rarest mercs on earth but life ,-literally will be altered course correction type shit to so many kids. most cars guys see 1 specific car that changes them forever or sparks a love that grows throughout somebody's whole life(like me)I consume as much knowledge as possible for my car library that just in my mind . its truly that so are either intentionally or un-intentional helping shape the world. it sounds silly but at its core that exactly what's happening if you realize it or not. you and patina have also added so much joy into my life alone that I'm ever indebted and grateful for you personally which again sounds odd but my passion is very much like yours cars are my life everything I've ever done has been due to or about my love of cars in general but I've always been a euro guy because the 930 turbo is what turned me into me. be blessed for sharing your kingdom with the world.
Thank you so much for this message it means a lot ! We will try to keep making videos like these focusing on the cars individually, it’s our mission to educate educate the world about these 1 of a kind marvels of technology and design.
Oh man i've been waiting for a video on this one. I have been working on my '95 E320 to look a lot like this one. From the wheels to the color. Wish i had the AMG kit though. Awesome video. One of my favorties.
Back in the '80s I remember the 190 being called the baby hammer, it wasn't based on the engine size. The 300s with the smaller engines were just called AMGs. W123 vs W124 was what determined baby versus regular hammer. Both were on plenty of car magazine covers back in the day
wow just found your channel because saw the 1 year old video from Shmee. Most amazing thing and vision you guys have really happy you are saving these cars!! I hope one day we can all together create a new W124 AMG we will ask AMG to built it directly!
There's a big white 300ce passes through my village with the wide body kit on it, it's only out on nice days and is clean AF. One of if not the nicest car I've ever seen on the road. I'm in Scotland so it could be a Stratton, wouldn't know what to look for 😅
That looked really good going down Camino Real and Deerfield Beach. I grew up in Boca Raton. I saw a lot of nice Benz cars going up there. That one is lovely.
Be nice if @Archihamiltonracing could see this guys as you mentioned his family plus hes just opened his own dealership selling high end cars in the UK ❤
lovely looking motor, I own a 1998 w202 styled in the legendary c36, emerald black but with the engine the w202 should have got and thats the OM606. :)
One of my favorite cars in your amazing collection. Anyone know who had it/where in Scotland? Indeed, respect and shout out to Stratton for the Mercedes builds they did.
@@PatinaCollective my lovely brother your most welcome. I appreciate you taking the time to deliver this content, if you ever visit UK ensure you message me and we'll link up ❤️
in a way im a little sad that this amazing example has left the UK but with that signal red paintwork.......it definitely deserves to pop in the Boca Raton sunshine
Recaro C81 seats, looks like 'Connolly Leather' from Wimbledon. Momo steering wheel, white dials...this is all too much, its UK Banking Mafia. How did you find this? Pre Merger AMG cars are the ultimate Mercedes.
no idea but I know Connelly leather was supposed to be the best in the world. but I'm just wondering what it feels like to sit in my favorite style seats which didn't know how vast the number of seat that look like a cse Recaro made. I can look at all my forms of viewing and seeing how much I didn't know. I thought premerger cse's where the only Recaro seat like that but used by so many different brands and tuners. I also see the through all the years considered premerger I thought were all the same until set aside feelings and only used info. holy shit. all these years I thought I knew some shit but I was so corrupted by opinion and feelings that I never once took the time to just blocked out the bueaty of the package and only looked at the seats. wow I could believe how many changes or things could be so impossible to not see. I thought all the 1986 Toshiba tv remote looking panels were mostly same except some had fewr buttons which just figured you could add the more personalized options to alter the seat to the driver crazy a.f. shit some where in completely different geometric shapes like oval or rounded out, the size and the look could be so different and I never even saw it in any picture I had ever seen that had what I considered a case from 16v golf gti's to Mr. Alois Ruf's personal car that was for sale when I saw it in '84 that is the only other day that cars changed my life forever to this day. RUF is to me as close as a car can be to god in my eyes. not only the cars but everything Alois and Estonia the things they did 10 years before they are doing now the electric 911 and history on the family and its other interests. never again will the stars align. my bad side tracked ... the leather - do you know if its what they called buffalo leather. anything you know and care to pass on will be a great gift. one love in the and to the kingdom
Make sure you take the plate off the car and get a retention certificate for it when you export. Otherwise they go back to dvla and people can buy them again.
