So what if he doesn't speak Filipino? At least he understands. You have no idea what he had been through as a person. He's multilingual and some of these languages were learned as they needed them for his job. He even said that French was mandated by his French dad. For sure he can learn Filipino if he wants to, but in my opinion he doesn't have to since English is the second language in the Philippines. It's unfair to judge him based on his inability to speak Filipino. After all, his career is focused more on a global aspect so basically he would have less opportunity to use Filipino. Anyway, after watching this interview, I have more respect for Erwan than the hateful comments. He has more sensible advocacy and purpose in life than those who only find fault in him. Erwan is an inspiration!
I live abroad and I'm fluent in Tagalog, Cebuano, French, English, Spanish, and Basque. It blows my mind how ppl that grew up and live in the Philippines don't know how to speak Filipino...
This guy is the epitome of a perfect man (well at least for me).... smart, disciplined, firm with his own principles, good looking and oh a linguist. Dang Anne you are one lucky woman. =)....
I love Erwan’s IQ and EQ, his good looks is a bonus. But definitely this guy is the real deal. I have very high respect for men who have good attitude and who have respect and love for their parents.
I always like your videos Erwan, I live here in US right now but I grew up in Philippines. I like your recipes because it's a combination of everything. Not only Filipino recipes but western as well. Keep up the good work! You are such an inspiration.
Really smart, and well-spoken guy. Love his eloquence & class.. i love the fact that he loves to travel & eat healthy as well..and obviously he's a people-person..
It is extremely surprising that he speaks two languages without any accent, when he speaks in French is like a real French, no doubt he is French ; when he speaks in English, is believed to be American ! I'm STUNNED ! BRAVO ! BRAVO ! BRAVO !
every time you speak there's always an accent...you cannot speak any language without an accent...even if it's english, the way he speaks is like east coast new jersey accent...
I have much respect for Anne and Erwan. They MIGHT have come from money, I do not know their background. However their dedication and focus and obsession. Channelled in a positive way is... inspiring. I'm trying to channel that drive and honestly... they make it look sooooo easy. So much respect. I am emulating these guys. Kudos!
Is that Wil Dasovich's tita interviewing Erwan? Loved the Xmas vlog where she was so drunk, I'm pretty sure there was a lot of that blog footage that ended up on the cutting room floor!!!
He's so articulate and obviously so smart. I have to comment though on living alone without a helper or a yaya is something that I've always do cause I don't want anyone to get know me on a very personal level. I have so many personal secrets that I always kept to myself and even to my family. I would guess people around me and my colleagues knows myself better than I do but I'd like to keep it that way as long as I keep doing right in everything that I do.
I heard about him being the b.f. of Ann and this is the first time I have seen him. He's brilliant and very interesting person not your regular 23 year old guy. I really enjoyed this interview. I will be watching him from now on.
What i know about this guy is that hes the beau of anne curtis and brother to soleen, but this interview really amazed me and look up to this guy, of how gentleman and responsible he is. So happy for anne curtis, hes a total catch. amazed
I can truly relate to his diet story. Happened to me. Loosing weight is not that difficult but maintaining is always a challenge. Erwan is self-made man. I like him. Cute couple with Anne. Funny that people are requiring him to speak Tagalog while I notice that currently a lot of young kids are taught to speak English even at home that they don't speak their dialect. Don't get me wrong, I believe that we should love our language and dialects. We are not foreigners, we are Filipinos. Be proud.
I like him for Anne Curtis ,, He looks very smart and Down to Earth like Anne ... and they really look good together :))i hope they ended up together at the end :)))
I am halfway watching this vid. I'm taking a break now because Ms. Davila is super annoying, I just don't know why. But, for the sake of learning more about Erwan, I'm gonna finish watching this.
Grabeh Ang sarap nmn niyang titigan..Ang gwapo talaga..Ang galing pang magluto..Sana makatagpo din ako Ng lalakeng katulad mo..your so lucky Anne..love you both.
Haha wow, so many negative people on here but he's accomplished quite a lot for his age. Grow up folks - just because something or someone intimidates you doesn't mean you should bash it. He's inspiring. Have some class.
I admire him for wanting the Filipino cuisine to be known internationally cause what he said was very true. Our food is only eaten by Pinoys. Among all the Asian food Filipino is one of the least known compared to Thai and Vietnamese. I wish him luck.
Karen Davila sounds so trying hard with her English. I love Erwan. He's very disciplined. That's how every kid (rich and poor) should be. Walang katulong oh.
I admired him so much. just that, its a bit disappointing when he only can understand and don't speak tagalog. it's also fun when you learn different Filipino dialect like bisaya, chavacano, ilokano, or capangpangan.
*They can pay anything they want and I'd be sitting at a board room infront of my business partner looking at my junk* Heard that folks! massive respect for this guy mad mad one
Why this lady puts in a pedestal the fact that Erwan speaks French? She makes Filipinos look bad, superficial and shallow and only caring about appearances. I feel sorry for Erwan that he had to go trough with this interview, but then again, he showed character (and I guess compassion) . Awful interviewer.
She wants him to be an artista so bad...telling him he's handsome, swaying him pt be on a billboard - even if offered alot of money, how he should "host" a cooking show, be on the cover of a book...very superficial. He's a handsome guy but I admire his mind than his looks. Looks aren't everything, Karen Davilla
Its a bit confusing, he is supposed to be a French Filipino, so why does he speak with such strong American accent? Also, I watched his travel videos, he eats sooo much and all kinds of fatty and unhealthy foods, so how did he manage to lose weight and stay in a relatively good shape???
