A new FPV sim was released a couple of days ago, so I picked it up to give it a blast. I'm VERY impressed. Lots of very good features, super quick loading times and easy to navigate menus. Most important thing is you don't have to spend HOURS choosing parts like in Liftoff. Physics are pretty good but guess what... you can adjust them! The graphics are awesome and the game plays very well indeed. Can't ignore the missing features like online leaderboard, multiplayer, ai/ghosts to race against and track building. For less than £10 though you can hardly complain. This is just an edit of the race tracks on each level but there are a couple with no tracks I havn't shown. The levels are really good for freestyling, especially the bando/building site. You can even practice chasing cars and mountain surfing.
Well worth checking this out.

Best User Interface of any quad simulator to date. This developer got it right. White larger text on black background. High visibility for visually impaired perople or for viewing on a pair of goggles. One screen. Fast loading. Liftoff and Velocidrone both got it really wrong, and I kept trying to tellt hem... to no avail.. for years.

I am practicing on this simulator so I can fly my drones better, trying to do all these stuff seems so hard!!!! Yet I see ppl (like you ) flying so good and it gives me motivation to keep doing it so I can learn better!! Thank you!!!

Just takes practice dude, when it feels natural you start improving a lot. I wouldn't say I'm a great pilot so my level should be easy to reach. I recorded this in one session and only played the sim this one time.

I have considered making another sim video, I get lots of views on them when I put minimal effort into making them compared to my other videos. I don't really play sims much but if there are new levels on this one then maybe I'll have a play on them. Is it worth me talking about the sim, or just stick with footage and no talking?

Graphics looks super! Better than the other sims on the market i think. Must hurt the eyes switching to something like Velocidrone after this haha.

Yea, it has some really nice graphics. The trees even move in the wind which I though was cool. The park looks especially good. Velocidrone and Liftoff don't look as good but Velocidrone has some great points about it, mainly the multiplayer/leaderboards. If they keep developing this game it could be made really good. I mean look at the green arrow, it looks so bad, maybe they drew it on MSPaint.

Been playing this about 30 hours now. Logging hours on my log book. I got my first Gold medal at 15 hours and now so far has total of 3 gold medals. It's such a hard thing to control... and with 3 golds I still find myself not that skilled yet. Your video helped me a lot to fly fast.

This video is awesome, it's really nice to see your lines -- I've been practicing for a couple of months and I just achieved my first few bronze medals. I noticed that you don't have the dock on here. I have a hard time with the dock and I can't put down a time under 2:00 when the bronze is like 1:20 or something! I'd love to see your pass at that level. Anyway, thanks for putting this out there.

Hey dude, sorry for the delay in replying. You can use this for freestyle just fine. They even have levels with no track that are just for freestyle. I use GeForce Experience for screen capture :)

Thanks man, I'm not even sure I could do that again myself today. When I recorded this I was coming off a few months of mainly racing so my muscle memory was very good. I have been flying mainly cinelifters recently so would take time to get back up to speed. I think all simulators translate into the reel world, but when the weather is good I tend not to play sim and concentrate on the reel thing, then use simulator to keep my stick time up when I can't go fly.

Holy shit! What settings are you flying with? Camera angle / rates mainly? Also did you change any of the physics to make it more realistic or something?

Thanks Patrick. I'll be honest, this was the first and only time I've played this sim. I remember I didn't mess with the physics at this stage, but I found later that a little more air slip I think they called it, made it feels a bit more real for me. Cam angle 45, max rate will be 600. Hope that helps a bit :)

I just did 36.603 on the first map, i dont even know how i did that. My previous best was 41, but then i retry it and got 37 rather easily . I kept pushing and somehow managed a 36s 😬. U can see that run on my channel. I think uncrashed has the best physics among all sims. Even drl feels like a game compare to uncrashed haha

How good is this for practicing to fly a DJI FPV? Can you set up the same controls for this as you have on a DJI?

i mean probably? if you're playing this with an xbox/playstation controller it probably won't feel the same as a FPV drone since the thumbsticks on console controllers reset to the center when you let go. i imagine with a little ingenuity you can get your DJI controller working. im gonna give it a go with my mavic mini controller

If you mean the DJI FPV Drone then it will kind of work but it won't have the different speed modes and flight styles they apply. You can turn on stabalisation I think, so it stays level like the DJI drones in most modes. DJI has its own simulator for the FPV drone. I don't know if DJI controllers work as joysticks but they probably do.

@@Bludz It works flawlessly, set the blades to 4 Inches and the real weight, you can adjust the rates to and fly with your DJI controller plugged into the PC. I like this more than Liftoff especially the Car chase level thats bomb

Hey man. I really didn't mess with the settings much before I recorded this. I just set the quad weight to 500g and chose 5149 props, 2050kv 6s. I've since played with the settings so I can't check them for you. I think I maybe made it worse by changing them allthough the air friction setting seemed to make it more realistic for sure. Hope that helps dude.

Everything is default apart from 500g quad weight, 6s 2050kv 5149 props 45 degree uptilt. Rates 0.75 0.75 600deg per sec.

I started a week ago to fpv. So I am still working on piloting at Road Trip before other maps. How can you go that fast? My best is 1:14 and I never get above 170 km/h with full throttle.

@@Bludz I am slowly getting gold medals after a month but still, when I watch this video, ohh it is slow enough, I can do this easily. When I play myself, woo woo woo slow down, too fast, missing the squares, take about 30 tries to get silver in some technical maps.

@@yesil1026 Well done dude, you are progressing. There is a fine line between trying hard and trying too hard. I would just try to concentrate on the line you are taking, you need to think more about the next gat than the gate you are going through. turn before the gate and look for the exit. This actually made me think of that. It kind of looks like it was but there is no splash screen for it. Some of the effects are very good.

@@Bludz Those rocks/trees/grass/water effects does look very Unreal Engine to me (if you look at the files under the installed directory you'll be able to tell). Nobody should be using UE5 for a commercial product yet though as it's still in pre-release

@@Bludz Unreal engine 5 is due to be fully released Q4 2021 - Q1 2022. It's ok to download the pre release package and start building. It feels and looks a lot like Rotor Rush, which makes sense as that's UE4 I believe. I've seen a few demos of UE5 and look forward to seeing what gets made with it. It's funny how much fancy graphics make the game better, when for years we flew with such a low res image, even DJI isn't really fancy. Would be nice to see graphics done in a way that it looks like FPV feed rather than flying from a GoPro (as an option).

@@Bludz Lol it would be cool if users could select their choice of feed quality and degradation type. So you can choose analog, digital1, digital2. Digital1 and 2 will be DJI and Sharkbyte but not by name for legal reasons unless sponsored and would emulate full slighty fuzzy resolution with corruption pixel distortion for SB and bitrate reduction with focus mode for DJI. The game engine could work out the signal map and determine where to apply degradation. On bigger maps the tx power and max range also apply. A photogrammetry plugin would be nice too so you can make a map out of your favourite spots. 😄

Hi. Sorry I haven't played this since I made this video. I didn't change the settings much, all I set was rates around 550 deg per sec. 1.5 rate 0.69 super if I remember right (could be wrong).

I just loaded the game up and saw I have only ever played 2 hours. I didn't change any settings on the drone, but I think they have an option now called race, so set that. Then rates, I like 600 deg per second so I can use a lot of stick travel, sorry not sure the exact numbers. Rate changes centre stick feel, super rate changes end stick feel. Set rate to how you like ther centre stick to feel and then adjust super rate until you hit 600 deg per sec. The racing line is way more important than how fast you try to go. Fly slower and concentrate on the line and 1-2 gates ahead so you line up minimising corrections needed to hit the next gate. Hope this helps :)

Hi. Yes Mode 2 is what I use. I don't know anyone anymore who uses anything else, someone probably does but its rare.

@@Bludz yeah I have about 15 hours in simulator and I use mode 2 I wasn't sure which stick has what on it, but mode 2 makes most sense a it gives more control to right hand so I'm comfortable with that

Depends what you mean mate. If you mean a mode where the image looks really bad and hard to see stuff like anologue, then no it doesn't. If you mean does it have 4:3 aspect ratio like most analogue cameras and what most pilots prefer to use over 16:9 widescreen, then yes :) it does and it is what I use now they added it :)

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Your question is a lot like asking me how long is a piece of string.... it depends. I was hitting these times fter just a few laps to learn the track, but I've been doing this for 6 years. Don't be discouraged, I'm in my late 30's, if you are younger you'll pick it up a lot faster.
