In this very honest review I tell you why I had to stop running in this new running shoe from Under Armour, the Infinite Elite! There are many reasons not to buy this running shoe but for me there was one very big problem!
One thing about UA… they make great running clothes. I have shorts and singlets from them that have been fantastic. Super comfortable, durable, breathable, light. Their running shoes aren’t very good. The Flow Velocity was okay. All of their shoes just haven’t hit the mark. Thick, heavy, run like bricks. They make great shoes for every other sport. Hopefully they make a Puma move and come out with some real bangers in the future, but it’s just not now.
Thanks Fordy!!! I saw these drop on the site and was curious about them. After having run in the Velociti Elite, I don't understand what they were doing with this one. They (Under Armour) come so close, yet are so far away
I also hope UA look into their competition. Their midsole needs a huge upgrade for their daily/long trainers. But their upper has been good particularly on the velociti wind and other models. I heard the UA Velociti Elite 2 is up. Are you currently testing those?
I feel your pain- for me it happened with nimbus25- super annoying heel pain. I took the insoles out and it was slightly better… but good idea to use as gym shoes. Thanks! 😊
ouch! this is the first review where I actually felt bad for the shoe. I can't look directly at the shoe without feeling awkward. I can't make eyelet contact!
I work for Under Armour and as far as walking this is by far the most comfortable shoe we have ever made. It’s like a bad remake of a Hoka copy but still the most comfortable. Worked there 8 years
No one can say Fordy Runs doesn't give people honest reviews. Are you going to check out the Infinite Pro or the Velociti Elite 2 that won the NY marathon? I'm curious if the heel pain is from the fit of the shoe or could there be a random defect? Also, did you say you are still wearing the shoes for gym workouts? I have mine on the way, interested in checking these out.
Your pronating in these, at least in the run footage, which totally explains the heel issue and with the max stack height foam it’s probs very narrow back in the heel and like you said stiff, my foot does the same thing so I would totally have the same issue
Good review Fordy. Glad you're honest. Seen TRT giving an honest opinion too but some others seem like they've run in it for an hour and go "yeah this shoe is fine", and that's the review done! Last point on the shoe - the name is confusing too. What's elite about it at all?! I want to see some good UA shoes soon, no reason why they can't make them.
Great honest review. Shame about the running shoes because their basketball range is awesome. The fit, grip and bounce of the flow FUTR X3 is phenomenal. These companies need to get their different divisions to talk to one another.
I live right around the corner from UA’s main campus. Legally I have to give 5% of my earnings to the company. (Not really but if you look around my area everyone has UA clothing). For the amount of UA I wear casually, while working out, playing tennis, running… their shoes have never worked for me. I usually return them. I applaud them for trying, but they can’t seem to get the shoe technology right.
If the people on here haven’t tried these but are taking one persons advice on them is a little nuts. Everyone’s feet are different. I have worked for Under Armour for 8 years and these are 🔥🔥 they are insane comfort. I’m speaking on comfort for walking a 11 hour shift on concrete floors. Not running though!
The only reviews that are slightly positive on this shoe are people who’ve been paid, sent to Barcelona or given the shoe for free. It’s a terrible and I’m being honest how terrible it is as a running shoe. Walking shoe sure I get it but the heel killed me. I hope they do a better job with v2 as they need to start making decent running shoes as they are a cool brand
@@FordyRunsI work in the warehouse walking around 13 miles a day. These shoes are great for that. I have the NB fresh foam more V3 and I would take the Infinite Elite all day over the New Balance ( at least those particular ones that I have ) saying that you loathe or abhor these shoes I do think is a bit of an exaggeration but that’s just me. My thing is everyone is different and they may think they are decent to great! In my unpaid ( working in a shit warehouse all day they are great - the best that I’ve worn ( better than Hoka, better than ON etc ) and yes I do have and wore those to work. I would still choose the Elite. The fresh foam V3 would have been 1st runner up probably but they are to squishy IMO. I’m also a light guy, I’ve seen heavier guys say these are good to run in. I don’t really give a shit but I see some channels just knock things and sometimes people just take all that at face value instead of having an opinion of their own
Looks really chunky and wouldn’t suit my feet at all. Can’t image there’s much ground feel and feedback from those shoes. UA do at least make some good running clothes, as I have UA tops and leggings which I use quite a lot.
Personally whenever I have given a negative running shoe review the brands reply by trying to justify all of the mistakes that they've made. There are some brands that don't even admit that they've made a mistake. Fortunately most running shoes don't have huge glaring issues.
How does UA go through designing and testing a shoe before bringing it to market, having a heavy, unresponsive, shoe that has terrible grip on wet roads and say “yup, that nails it, great job” 🤪🤦♂️
If I had to guess at which shoe you were reviewing without the brand and model, I would have said 1989 Hi-Tec Silver Shadow! They were bloody awful and like cardboard too!
Looks like the worst shoe I’ve seen for a while, what are they thinking? 350grams 🤦♂️ polystyrene foam🤦♂️ it’s a brick £140😂😂 less than £70 in a few months and still won’t sell
