Our cover of Into The Mystic, written and recorded by Van Morrison between September-November 1969 and released in February 1970. This studio version features 6 & 12 string acoustics, Telecaster, bass, percussion (Reini Adelbert) and Stratocaster and backing vocals (Sarah McLaughlin). Although there are so many outstanding Van songs, this one is truly an evergreen. We love Van because of his organic, no-tech approach to recording (which circumstance dictates for us too!).

Hey guys, when we did this track, we had no idea how many of you far and wide would respond so wonderfully, thank you all! It was unexpectedly hard getting the scratch track together and proved a bit underwhelming when completed. However, there it is in the mix, surrounded by lots of harmonies and other goodies. Your comments and subscriptions have made it so worthwhile.

Definitely well done and VERY listenable. Too big of a Van fan (I guess?) though, to appreciate like many of the commentators here do. 2.5 out of 5 stars, acknowledging that I haven’t yet, quite possibly couldn’t ever do better.

Nicely done. Hard to make a Van composition your own so why try. Your cut stands alone in it's own place. There are many days where I will seek it out.
