I'm Korean myself but learning so much about K-skincare products through your channel LOL. Just ordered Naturekind urea ceam! They do seem quite indie, but very affordable tho.
Oh that's so cool, happy to help! I think a lot of indie brands are finding success online since the domestic Korean market can be super competitive. I'm always curious what's popular in Korea because I know it's different than what K-beauty is popular with non-Korean's.
My current favorite underrated product is the Ample:N Ceramide Shot Ampoule! It is soooo lovely. Hydrates deep within the skin. I'd say it is pretty similar to the RNW ceramide serum just with slightly more emoillent ingredients. Also comes in 100ml size!
Under hyped k beauty products I love: Bonajour Green Tea Water Bomb Toner, and the Anua 77% Heartleaf Toner! both fragrance free and essential oil free :)
Just nerdy comment from a chemist: fatty acids and lipids are not the same thing. Lipids like in most seed oils consists of fatty acids bound to a glycerin backbone. There are only very few % of free fatty acids in cosmetic seed oil blends. To be paired with ceramides you need fatty acids-not lipids.
i have acne, dryness and dermatitis but logically, skin has kept my skin happy. i don’t remember you talking about them. i love the care cleansing foam, brightening serum, and multi-lift cream. great combo of science and simplicity.
logically, skin is a really good brand. I've been using their brightuning serum for like 8 bottles count now, loved their cleasning foam as well lasted forever. The toner is also such a good way to deliver that peptide goodness into the routine
I bought the beauty of joseon glow serum after watching your reviews, used it for the first time last night and some of my pimples calmed down a lot, I’m looking forward to continuous use!
I love their glow serum! I got the serum trio to try out that, the ginseng and the green calming serum, and the ginseng has become a huge staple for me too. It was unexpected!
@@marissa8e hm, I use a nightly acne treatment so it’s hard to distinguish whether the glow serum does anything more, but historically I’ve responded well to niacinamide which the glow serum has! It certainly hasn’t broken me out and my skin texture looks nicer when I use it regularly. Hope that helps!
Amazon is having a deal on the RNW Energy Ampoule kit Set ($21.91) you get to try 5 of their products. I jumped on that deal! Bought it before seeing Kelly’s video :) I tried the RNW Ceramide Plus serum and loved it! Can’t wait to try more of their products.
Since I only buy your product recommendations, I really don't have anything new to add to your list. However, I do want to thank you as I've saved a lot of money and time following your channel.
Thank you Jo Ann, I'm so happy to read this. It's really my goal to help save time, money and stress in this skincare journey, really honored to be able to help! ❤
Kelly I loved this video so much!! Love discovering new brands that deserve some love!! I placed an order today including: RNW Ceramide serum, 76N1 calming oil, keep cool bamboo toner, makeprem toner and some other ♡Kelly♡ staples!! I also got the TOSOWOONG tamanu oil, not sure if you have mentioned that but yeah!! Cannot wait to try out my new goodies!!
You're giving me skincare fomo haha! I'm currently struggling through an intense outbreak of perioral dermatitis and I can barely use anything at all, my face is sooo reactive. Trying to embrace this super simple skincare routine: holifrog tashmoo waterlily milky wash followed by cosrx snail 92 cream, mustela cicastela and topped with LRP cicaplast baume. Dassit! Can't even wear sunscreen these days. I've been loooving the naturekind urea 5 cream on my eczema prone hands. It's probably great for face as well, just can't be introducing anything there just yet
Ahhhh I know what you mean about sticking to what works to heal (and not wearing sunscreen which is a smart move because surprisingly can hold back that healing). You're doing the right thing right now and getting your skin back to health! 👍
I think the Cosrx comfort ceramide cream and mist is under hyped. People are always talking about the snail, cica, or propolis line from Cosrx but I rarely here people mention these 2 products.
Ooooooo i haven't tried any of these actually, but definitely heard you talk about most of them. Adding a few to my list ~ thank you for the amazing videos as always Kelly, you're an absolute gem. I'm half Korean and you've taught me so much about Korean hanbang ingredients and overall moisture barrier care. I can't thank you enough
Wonderful video, thanks. My current underrated k beauty product is the Sur Medic Soothing Peptide Ampoule. Very generous bottle, affordable, and truly soothing with azulene and ceramides. My mature dry acne-prone skin drinks it in!
I love this!!!! I've been wanting to try other k-beauty brands but have been hesitant. I'm so glad I clicked on this video. My favorite product that no one ever talks about is the Have a Good Cream, it has snail and centella. No matter what toners or serums I use this moisturizer locks everything in and leaves my skin feeling like skin. Btw I have oily combo skin. Also because of you Isntree green tea toner and Beauty of joseon ginseng + snail serum are my holy grails. I can't go without them!
Beplain is really a nice k-beauty skincare brand. That bamboo ampoule isn't the only great products. Their cleanser, toner, moisturizer, spf, everything is great.
My current favorite underrated product is COS DE BAHA AZELAIC ACID 10%!! oh my god every single time i use it at night, the next day i wake up with smooth skin texture and it helps to fade hyperpigmentation but at the same time calms down my acne and redness. I'm obsessed. Plus point it's also affordable compared to PC or naturium azelaic acid.
I’m really loving the Sana Isoflavone Lotion (toner - white bottle). After this I’m going to try the Essence (gold bottle). Both are milky with no fragrance.
I've never tried any of these before, although I do remember you mentioning RNW before as I have one of the creams saved in my favourites after you mentioned it ages ago. I might try a few more as my skin is so dry in winter
As always finding great and interesting recommendations from you. A products that caught my eye the other day is Centellian 24 Tension-up microbiome ampoule. But I can't find much information in English. Have you tried it or heard of it?
I'm currently using the Beplain cicaful calming gel for my morning routine and i love it. I have oily acne prone skin so this is enough for my skin but might not be for a more Dry skin. Starting to look more into independent k brands. Have you tried products from : Manyo, Secret nature, Numbuzin ( really want to try their N.3 toner) ?
Manyo has some good stuff! I tried them back when they used to be called Manyo Factory, their 3GF Eye Cream was sooo good, I think they still have a version of this available!
On the subject of indie brands, have you tried anything from Mary & May? Just found them on Yesstyle when looking for peptide stuff and they look pretty interesting, especially considering their price point. :o
I quite like the sample of the Neogen UV Airy Sunscreen I tried, but I’m hesitant to use it daily because I have trouble differentiating between extracts and essential oils so it’s hard to parse the ingredients list. Is there any way you could help? I like it but essential oils are not something that I want to integrate into a daily routine! These suggestions are so nice, thanks!
I'm peeping the 🔮 crystals like the touch . RNW I swear has been my life saver the past month love them I need to take the be plain bamboo out my skin has not been happy at all the past few weeks.
Thank you for noticing! I've recently added to my little crystal collection and it's a little addicting! Great for helping to set and remember my intentions!
Can you make a video about winter skincare for normal skin .l have normal skin but these days they are dry and i have a lot of bumps on my whole face please help me
I'll have some winter content coming up but you can check out my videos from last winter for inspiration and tips, plus I recently did a dry skin video rounding up 10 kbeauty products. Normal skin doesn't have many concerns about balancing so just adding in one or two good nourishing products should help the dryness!
Which one is fatty acid in Beplain Bamboo Hydrating Ampoule ingredient? l seem to have hard time recognize fatty acid in ingredient because they don't say "fatty acid" compared to cholesterol when it's always mentioned as "cholesterol"
The fatty acid is coming from glyceryl stearate. It's hard like you said since it's part of the composition of the ingredient but not named or classified in a super obvious way. Ingredient websites like INCIDecoder can help you a lot if you want to get more familiar with ingredients!
@@KellyDriscoll I didn’t have a chance to try a lot of products from this brand since it’s so hard to get my hands on, where I live. But my favorite one is Mizon Special therapy Good night white sleeping mask, helps to keep you hydrated , moisturized and of course brightens your complexion and dark marks
