Could you do a comparison between this new The Ordinary barrier serum and the NIOD MG? Seems like both soothe the skin and would be interesting to hear more of the differences in experience
This is so helpful as I have sensitive and rosacea prone skin, thanks Kelly!! Niod's MG didn't work for me (made my cheeks redder), so I'm really hoping this new soothing serum by The Ordinary will be better. And yes, I'm team Mugwort too! Centella does nothing for my skin's redness.
Loving both the Missha Mugwort toner and the ampoule! I enjoy centella but the mugwort seems to work much better for redness. I couldn’t believe how fast any redness disappears when I use them. And I’m talking visibly within minutes, not hours! New HG for me! ❤
I am looking forward to the Pepto serum lbvs! I work in Healthcare and covid is starting back on. I'm wearing my mask longer and I already have some breakouts from wearing it all day. Green tea and propolis can only do so much. Thank you sis!
It’s very PINK!!! It’s already sold out!!! 🤍🤎🖤🤍🤎🖤🤍🤎🖤 I’m so excited for FALL!!!! I’m outside planting all day!!!! It finally rained again lol so ready for these cooler temps!!!!
@@marionallen2222 you're welcome 😊 They must be waiting for a certain day to release it. When the 3 different scented Frank Body Body washes were on the new list, I wanted to check em out but all 3 were sold out 🤔 I was so confused lol How are all 3 new products out of stock plus they didn't have the notify with email when back in stock option. I think it took a couple of weeks before they were available.
@@KellyDriscoll No I haven’t and now I am intrigued! I’m currently using the benton green tea toner, but as the temperatures get colder, I was looking for something more hydrating. I’ll look into it, thanks for recommending!
I just got cystic acne. I have never had any kind of acne and at almost 50, I started getting what seems to be cystic acne breakouts. I have been using Nizoral (shampoo)once or twice a week and while I use a lot of K beauty products, I have no idea what is helping and what is frustrating my skin. @KellyDriscoll , you mentioned itchy skin. My skin does itch and I have no idea what is causing that. I see that you use things to keep your cystic acne at bay. What causes your acne and what do you use? I have the Benton Green tea toner. Any other suggestions?
@@ceet416 I’m sorry to hear that! If you’re unsure what may be causing your cystic acne, perhaps try process of elimination? It took me a long time to realize that anything with chemical exfoliant (yes, even PHAs or LHAs) or high percentage of niacinamide would break me out - only by taking things out of my skincare routine one by one. And when I say I use certain cosmetic products to keep cystic acne at bay, I mean while I’m eating, sleeping, and excercising healthily. Sorry if this is all obvious and you’ve tried already.
@KellyDriscoll , I started ysing the wishtrend propolis essence, and I‘m in love! Thanks for the recommendation. Question: Have you tried the wishtrend propolis cream?
What’s in my jar is a great resource for sensitive skin. They categorize ingredients by irritant potential. Wanted to share as soothing is a big theme here.
I just discovered yesterday that my beloved Ordinary Copper Peptides was the reason my skin has been looking so dry and wrinkled under my eyes 😫😫😫 I was using all kinds of hydrating products trying to fix it and I just happened to use my RNW ceramide serum in the am instead of night and had no wrinkles I was astonished so I had to swap them lol so upset and HAPPY no under eye above lip dryness I LOVE the new CosRX Peptide booster my skin just drinks it up 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 love the eye serum too
I’m happy to hear that! I ordered the Cosrx Peptide Booster last month and it’s taking foreverrrrrr to get here! Can’t wait to try it out! I haven’t seen any videos on it yet!
Oh my goodness I need that new The Ordinary serum! I have rosacea and was in the market for another barrier support serum- this looks like it will be great for me! 😻
I did not know about the whole Centella vs Mugwort crowd. I have always used and loved Cica/Centella products, and love Cica creams. I have not used any mugwort products other than the Isntree clay mask which I think had some in it, but didn't know it was more soothing than Cica. I assumed Cica was the best soothing ingredients. I love propolis in serums, not tried wishtrend but my fave so far as been the Cosrx toner and the Skinfood and Dr Ceuracle propolis ampoules
The allies of skin line? I've only covered the Liquid Panacea Centella and Kombucha booster. It's an amazing product! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HrMy4IJtMgI.html
Hi Kelly! Hoping you could do a video featuring both Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha and Mary & May Blackberry Essence. Both have oil components in them and it's confusing as how to layer them with other essences or serums.. Thank you! 💞
I have already done a this or that on them! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cmow6e0Xlyo.html Generally they are applied before your serum step. When in doubt always remember thinnest/wateriest products layered up first and then build up in thickness/moisture.
@@maryv9832 I still use a moisturizer over it. It's a light weight creamy serum that soothes my skin and best of all its not sticky and doesn't leave a residue. I can use it in my am routine under makeup with no issues. It works with other products as well.
Kelly, you look gorgeous! You are really glowing! I know you are conscientious about sunscreen, but did you get a tan? Or did you find a great bronzer or tanning solution? It looks so beautiful on you! It's such a shame that the sun can cause such terrible damage, because I think a tan looks beautiful. I am pale and my mother has gone through basal cell and Moh's. Thank G-d the Mohs removed it. I'm too pale for fake tans and bronzers. It just looks awkward on me, so I've learned to accept myself as I am. Still, i admire dark and tan skin. You look gold and beautiful! Also, that Ordinary serum really does look like Pepto Bismal😂
Thank you for such an informative video. My skin has been dry like the desert and I am looking for a good hydrating serum. The new ordinary one has pipped my interest.
The ordinary serum why has it got to be so pink though? Mind you Niod modulating glucoside is yellow, however that’s acceptable because of COQ10 and retinal colours. Kelly how does the new ordinary serum compare the the niod MG?
Its the b12 content that creates the pink color. It's very, very, very similar to MG sharing a lot of main ingredients, I'm sure they used the base formula to make something more affordable for The Ordinary line!
I like NIOD a lot and it has an easier to incorporate into a routine (no oily feel). It's a multifaceted antioxidant product and covers a lot of concerns. Pycnogenol is very affordable and I think the one I would reach for if irritation is your main concern.
I'm not a mugwort *or* cica kinda gal. I consider myself more of a mugwort *and* cica *and* heartleaf *and* [insert just about anything that promises to be calming, soothing, redness-relieving] junkie.
I have a this or that coming out in a few days! definitely check that for all the details but the big factors here are TO uses 2% niacinamide and costs $17 NIOD doesn't use any and costs $30. If you can't wait for the this or that I'd just suggest picking the one that fits your budget because they perform similarly!
Thanks for the video Kelly! I use both centella and mugwort…two of my favs! I’m trying to replace my HG mediheal baobob serum since it’s really hard to find. Have you tried the skin & lab barrierderm milky serum? Or do you think the Wishtrend cera-barrier soothing serum is comparable? Thanks!!!!
I haven't tried the skin and lab product. Wishtrend would be comparable especially in hydration and texture, slightly different but Torriden Solid In Essence has some similar ingredients to mediheal!
@@KellyDriscoll it would depend on $ lol ya know how things are right now. And being a single mama doesn't help 😁 but absolutely. How do we go about chatting
We're having an unexpected and unseasonable heat wave here in the UK. I hope it goes away soon because it's messing up my skin and my skincare regimen.
How long has this heat wave been going on for ??? Seems like I seen videos about it 2 months ago....I could be wrong but seems like it's been going on for a while. Sorry....I can't handle heat.
@@paulayarbrough6930 I can't handle heat either, Paula. It turns me into a slob! We had a very very hot end of June/early July, then it slowly started looking more like October. Now suddenly 33/34 C degrees (I can't do Fahrenheit 😅. Thanks, Kelly), full of humidity. Horrendous weather! Honestly, the UK seem to be under a curse in terms of weather.
There’s nothing better than Krave great barrier relief I really love it. And Sioris barrier one with Tamanu oil I also use but forgot the name 🙊. I discovered brandefy silks triple lipid and have been LOVING IT! We well as the new Dieux Air Angel layered under Dieux Angel. Love both
