A fighting game in 2024 but without crossplay, sadly I don't see this game is going to last long. Yea it will have a dedicated player base but still. UNIST back then was holding on pretty well because nearly all games were not released with rollback netcode either. Now is a very different time, all big titles have both rollback and crossplay just to stay relevant in the industry. So the decision to not include them for this one is baffling, considering UNI has become a household title in the anime FGC.
I have a feeling crossplay is just difficult to implement. Arcsys is the publisher and they added crossplay to Strive a year after release so if sales are good maybe they’ll fund the update for crossplay for UNI2 as well. Fingers crossed!
I mean that's ur opinion but since this game been announced, people came back to play it to prepare and there's people who never left . Those people me included will move on to uni-celes, it has rollback that something alone that will keep the fanbase happy, cross play would be nice but that's something they can add later , if not I'm just happy I have people to play against online People who end up leaving just don't like the game, get bored of it, or even find it too challenging because of the players they come across. It's normal for majority of new players to leave and dedicated players to stay well just end up sharpening each skills s Can't please everyone yet everyone who wanted rollback is please can't turn around and be like "no crossplay no buy" When most of us just asked for rollback Would be great but if it doesn't get implemented that's fine with me
Yes it was mearly my opinion, no need to read into it that much and assuming I'm one of those who demands everything and then don't buy them because they are not up to my "absurd and unrealistic standards". I agree that I'm genuinely happy just to get rollback netcode for a new installment in a franchise that I love dearly. But that doesn't warrant the fact that it could have been so much better had it kept up with today's standard of a modern fighting game. Unfortunately is the better word for it.
@@quandang5482 @quandang5482 not reading to deep, I'm not saying you're demanding anything, I didn't even say u are that type of person. My point is this a w. the player base will drop but that normal, there's no need to try and predict how the game will end up, cause the truth is u don't know, (no offense) The first game people like it so much that it kept getting updated to clr n that was with bad net code Now sys:celes is gonna rollback anything can happen now is all I'm saying
