Surprising that NO ONE has commented on this episode! As Tom said in the video, numerous times, Beaver Island TRULY is a gem; a great place for a vacation or short get-a-way! Whether you're alone, a honeymoon couple or a large family, you are SURE to have the time of your life on "The Beav!" The wife and I, along with our folks at times, have been visiting this beauty for years; short AND extended stays and let me tell you, it NEVER gets old or stale! The majestic beauty, the tranquility and, yes, even the "in-town crowds" are sure to please. Even though it's close to the mainland (about 18 - 20 mi.), you're worlds away once your feet are on the island. HIGHLY recommend a visit to this relatively still unknown wonder of our great state of Michigan! Thanks, Tom and crew, for shedding a little knowledge and some wonderful camera work about our home away from home, Beaver Island!

We have property on Donegal bay. Love the island but quite a bit has changed since this video. Steve is no longer on the island, Stoney Acre is closed and the Shamrock and Beachcomber are for sale. We do have a new brewery that opened up a couple of years ago.
