Thanks for another look at the building process. I love how Alexei is willing to share bits of the building process like this, where other manufacturers would either be too secretive or too scared to show. I totally admire his dedication to his craft, and I love that you both document it for dreamers like me to watch. Thanks!

Could you use the ocean as a water source and send streams of light across the dance floor and back into the ocean? Also, maybe a cold water fountain outside near the dance floor? Gotta stay hydrated. Can't wait to see her in the water!!!

More and more impressed. I really like that Bering has no issue showing what is going on during the build process. Actually, they are proud to show everything. Instead of hoping something won't happen, they are preparing for it. After all, be a chunk of ice in arctic cruising, an unmarked rock in tropical cruising, or a mid ocean shipping container. Stuff happens. Cool stuff.

Bering builds their boats to ship standards and using metal pipes instead of hoses is the mark of a great builder. They could save money, but 10 years from now, you would have very costly repairs. Your boat will last for many years with a minimum of problems thanks to the high standards Bering uses. Great video and I like you guys comments about safety and how metal pipes are so much better than hoses.

Victoria says it very well, "Explorer yacht vs. island/coastal cruiser". Just a small addition to the hose topic, OdorSafe Plus hoses fare the best when it comes to odor permeation, however they come with the drawback that they are stiffer and harder to work with than most commercially available hose materials. But if your boat is big enough they are a good compromise when compared to straight plumbing! :)

In a world where compromise is common, Alexei and Bering just don’t! There’s nothing as comfortable and reassuring as when safety and quality are given top priority. Very well done! 🥃

Very interesting build processes. I never would’ve known if I hadn’t seen it here. And you’re right. Safety is a big factor when you’re out in the middle of the ocean or off grid somewhere. You can never seem to have enough floatation when your boat/ship is sinking.

Enjoyed and understood Rico's comments about pipes vs hoses over the long run - however, would have liked him to address any difference in difficulty/cost to repair a damaged pipe vs a damaged hose. It seems like replacing a leaking hose between the head and holding tank might be a lot easier than replacing a piece of cracked pipe…

SWAG: Unless it is a ship which requires a full-time watch stander, both on the bridge and in the engineering spaces, I would imagine that a permanent repair of a busted pipe would be a shipyard repair.

They don’t just crack, everything gets pressure tested and it’s going to last a long time

Absolutely LOVE the details of the tech stuff and piping and all that he goes in to. I would be the same way. I want the best of the best day one.. so as not to have to worry about issues like smell, corrosion, etc. Remove all the potential issues that you CAN solve for out of the gate so you don't worry about it. As he said, if something breaks.. that's different. But out of the gate you know you got the best solution, at a cost sure, but you're putting in a few mil or more. I say this VERY thing in my house. We got super cheap .30c outlets (about 30 of them in the house) that constantly break. Super cheap China junk. For about $60 more in total, they could have put in much better outlets that wouldn't break. That I am doing manually now to replace all the cheap outlets. Same with network cable.. Cat 7 existed when home was built, 1Gbps network was already pretty normal. Why not put Cat6 or Cat7 in the walls and run 3 or 4 of them to every room.. just in case. It would cost a couple hundred or so more in total, and you future proof the home for decades. Instead we got cheap china Cat5E ran everywhere, loss packets, etc. Drives me nuts! OH.. and our electrical wiring.. multiple rooms tied to a single 15amp fuse. What in the F where the designers thinking. We constantly blow circuits. It's unreal to me why every single room doesnt have one or two good 20amp wiring in the wall to ensure you got plenty of power to all areas of the house. Just piss poor design. This is why (after my long response) I love the Bering company and NautiGuys constant need to go in to detail about things like this! My kind of people! :) If I was rich I'd be hitting you up to work with you to build a Bering boat!

Treating a ship like a plane and not cutting corners, especially on safety or comfort makes Berring Yacht's a reference in yacht building. You guys got it right for you and your guests when Victoria said "Please don't change anything" after teasing Alexeï on features taking space. "We have nothing to hide": Alexeï is a legend.
