1k Videos! Honestly this channel has been a constant source of refreshing and properly relatable PC information. Im so glad you are still here and Ill be watching for a long time
@@RandomGaminginHD Find some liquid nitrogen and OC the Athlon 3000G to 5Ghz. Give that poor chip the final torture test that it didn't do anything to deserve!
Fun fact : DDR means "Double Data Rate", meaning that 2 transfers happen for each clock cycle. The number after DDR4 is the transfer rate, not the frequency, which means that DDR4-1000 is actually running the RAM at 500MHz.
True, but then again 1000 Mhz would be the effective clock (also called like this), so it's not per se wrong how he did it. Still good to mention this, so other people can learn something. :)
@@acloserlook5823 within JEDEC specs, RAM power consumption is neglected as too insignificant. Even fine-tune overclocking beyond XMP doesn't take too much of a power(since all modern memory controllers are built into the CPU itself), and in complex overclocking which can easily double the power draw in your whole system, memory consumption is the lesser evil - trust me on that!😉
yea i remember i found the channel back in 2015 looking for a xeon e5450 socket 771 cheap build :D been watching every single video since ( had some fun time with that budget chip haha)
Congrats on the 1000. I've probably watched about 2000 of your videos lol. You're my all time fav youtuber and when I wanna watch your channel but you have nothing new i actually rewatch the old vids. You're the reason I'm in school for computer engineering. Thank you for everything you do for this community
Grats on 1K! Maybe you're onto something here; budget gamers can massively underclock all of their components like this and then every so often raise the clocks speeds so it feels like an upgrade.
Congratulations to making it to your 1000th upload, your content is always informative. ETA: There's a new update for GTA Online that's out as of today (December 13th 2022)
Congrats for your 1000th video and yes it's not worth it to do this but yeah it's nice to see how this affect the gameplay. Although, i like your videos the fact you give some advices/tips on for those who can't afford a good PC and go with some old components it's not something that everyone do :)
I've purchased a laptop for the Black Friday and decided to slap Linux on. My first attempt of installing and setting the battery preserving apps ended up with my cpu stuck at its lowest performance level - meaning 400MHz. Man, I've forgotten how slow a pc can be. That said, it had no symbolism unlike 1000MHz, congrats on your jubilee! Keep on pumping out great videos and enjoying your RU-vidr career!
Impressive! I was actually shocked on how the games handled the graphical intensity through out. You should make more videos like this in the future. I was thinking something like 1100th upload - 1.1Ghz 1200th upload - 1.2Ghz etc etc.... congrats on the 1000 videos btw.
Congrats on uploading 1k videos! You are also close to 500k subscribers. You deserve it, I have been watching this channel for a few months and enjoy all the videos. Keep up the good work 👍
Congratulations on 1000 videos. Amazing milestone. I don't know how long I've been watching this channel, but it was always nice to see someone trying to game and test modern games on potato specs, so I could get a nice estimate on how something would run on my laptop. Here's to another 1000 videos. 🥂
Been here since about 10% of your current sub count. To another 1000 vids 😎 Personally, I sometimes run my GTX 1070 at ~1560MHz in less demanding games. it's about 75-80% of performance with only about 50-55% power draw (~65-75W) unrelated but.. 7:11 damn, that's a lot of CPU usage. Cyberpunk is actually able to use at least 10 CPU threads, which is a lot for a game
Congrats on having 1K videos, everything is all wel deserved. You have provided one of the finest contents that any video feels refreshing among the rest, nicely done!
While watching your videos, I went from Core 2 Duo with Intel GMA X3100 (Compaq 610 laptop bought second hand), then Intel 3120m laptop with AMD 8750m, then 3200g PC followed by R5 3600 and 2060 super. I build my first PC with 3200g specifically after watching your videos. Congratulations on 1000th video!
I don’t know what it is about your videos, but you’re very easy to watch. It’s not usually the type of channel I watch, but I always enjoy your way of doing videos. Maybe it’s the tinkerer in us both, and your down to earth personality. Whatever it is, I really appreciate you, mate. Cheers
Congrats on the milestone my dude! Been following you for ages. You played no small part in me deciding to finally give this RU-vid thing a try, so thanks for that. And your adorable accent, of course!
You and Dawid does tech stuff does the best experiments. It's always a guess, will it run or will it tank. Great content specially with my hectic schedule. Put you on the back ground :D
This was a brilliant idea for celebrating a thousand fun and interesting videos! I really wish that you continue doing this. There's barely anybody on RU-vid creating content like this; being fun, experimental as well as educational.
Interesting idea to really show just how far Instructions Per Clock have come. Back in the day a 3+Ghz cpu could barely push enough data to run Crysis at high settings, even split between multiple high end GPUs in SLI or Crossfire. Damn impressive that a CPU & GPU sipping back 5 & 40 watts respectively can outperform a system from the games release 15 years ago, when a PC of equal performance would easily gulp down 500+ watts.
Most low powered U-series CPUs in laptops and mini PCs nowadays (mostly in 15-28W TDP) can play a lot of games (even some AAA games) with decent framerate from just integrated GPU, while in 15 years ago it's almost completely impossible
Just realized I've seen so many of your videos that I had to scroll for like a minute to see the ones I missed. Been a viewer since 2016 or 17 I think and its insane how time just flies man.
I'm impressed. Doesn't matter what I do to my 3080fe, it crashes everything. Can only have it as standard. So well done managing to do this on your 3060.
gratz for 1k uploads (its big number... try calculate only upload time...) i have suggestion so what about tune your system to max power efficiency... sweet spots for each components at comfort framerate and calculate saved money for 1 hour, day etc...
Crazy to look back and think but Ive been watching you as one of my first PC infomational accounts since I first built a gaming PC as a kid. I remember watching your budget gpu showdowns like it was months ago. And now into young adulthood I still watch you for infomation and enjoyment. Its been nearly 7 years I think. Glad to see you going strong and looking good! I truly hope you continue to do well and grow.
You are a confirmed masochist sir. 😛 On a side note, I see your NUCX17 in the background. I have had mine for some weeks and have warmed up to it. I got mine barebones and pumped it up the way I want it. I also have my NUC laid down with rubber feet on it for circulation. I have had no problems with thermals!
Congrats man 🎉 been watching since 2016 and it has been an honor to watch this channel grow, also the power usage is hilarious 😂a modern pc literally only pushing 8ghz total of speed brilliant
That's a good milestone, and you reached here posting lots of interesting videos, one of the unique tech channels and i'm glad i've been following you for the past 4-5 years or so, here's to another 1000 videos!
Phew! From the title of the video, I thought you'd been having terrible trouble uploading this video! Congrats on a very significant milestone. Next up, 500k subscribers!
Missed opportunity to call it the gigahurts computer Also, you should make a sequel to this comparing the frequency scaling! Would be a darn interesting project
Congrats on 1000 videos, everyone a pleasure to watch. You have stuck to yours guns with this channel as you have grown, unlike most other channels. Here's to 100,000 more!
Hello Steve if I may suggest a video idea.. due to the ongoing energy crisis it would be a pretty entertaining and educational if you would assemble a gaming pc that would be very energy efficient and tweaking it to be as efficient as possible while retaining the most performance in games :)
