It's more like Bezos would critique his employee, maybe give them some bonuses or something. But if someone doesn't live up, he would go on the stupid pill rant.
I LOVED when he revealed himself to each employee, you can really see how much he GENUINELY cares about each and every one of them, and to hell with who is watching. I cried the whole time 😭 😢 😊
You are a responsible boss & a loving father, love to be like you in my case too. Great work done, to take up criticism on your face needs lots of self determination & virtue. Good luck with this life changing experience to learn the personal touch.
This is one of the best, (maybe the best) undercover boss . The guy is modest, humble plus I love his humility and how he cares n gets emotional with his employees tough experiences in life... Man I hope you get your own personal FORTUNE 500 conglomerate!!!!
A a misery this boss had when his father died in accident in young age of 33 his mother went through pain in cancer and died and he himself died in 2017 with prolonged illness 😭
Oh my god i am 62 years old i have not cried for a long time but what you did was heart breaking you and your family should be so proud thank you so much
Watching from Australia this episode got to me, what a wonderful boss, generous thoughtful, kind, a great American who unfortunately passed away due to a lethal form of brain cancer, RIP Sam
That girl at the end, she's a hard worker, it show's that life is hard to her, we can easily imagine her alone in her corner, tho, she just got the hug of her life, That was realy realy good.
She wanted to act "tough" and hold it in, but she cracked and I am glad she did! She probably arrived at the conviction in her life that nothing good is gonna happen to her.
He is a man with a good heart but one thing I found a bit laughable was the pay increase for the truck drivers at 25 cents an hour, a whole $10 a week.
He's the CEO. He has to answer to the board of directors. He doesn't own the company. Berkshire Hathaway does. I'm sure that he did as much as he could for them. All of that has to go through accountants as well. AND the company had to file for bankruptcy protection around the same time. It's not like they had money to burn. He died in 2017 after a year long illness.
Dam, you know those kids are spoiled by the way they all gasped when he said he had to work a night shift and the oldest didn't even know that was a thing😂
If anyone working there currently is watching this .. did it get any better ? reply please let me know xD im so curious cos i wasnt to impressed w the things he actually wanted to change for the ppl working there .. other than big gifts for the ppl who were in the show .. (that was epic!) 2 months a year you are allowed a sportsdrink .. well wooptidoo you are the greatest big hearted person xD and a fan above the packers .. well geewiz! thats a lotta changes this must have improved working in that ...place ..
H DHILLON he gives them water, just sport drinks only 2 months a year... is that so abnormal? We get coffee or water, no sport drinks either. But I don’t work in a warehouse, but this doesn’t seem so strange to me...
Who is here feb 2021 bec of covid19 pamdemic? Thumbs up guys....the is the best boss undercover i ever watched😊 crying a river here😭😭😭😭 kudos to.you Mr. Sam Taylor!
25 cents increase per hour amounts to 480$ per year is peanuts. America operates in what Europeans call a 'savage capitalistic regime' by which they mean that due to Taylorism in the workplace and the inexorble drive to maximize profits and lower production cost and the lack of a social welfare system employees are squeezed like lemons have minimal vacation times and benefits but have to keep their jobs because they have no other option. In this Hobbsian work environment it is dog eats dog and the rich keep getting richer and the poorer poorer. So for a boss, even a kind-hearted one like the one in the espisode, to claim that his company cares for the work conditons, well-being and salaries of his employees is a bit like if Trump claimed he cared about the employees in China in the factory that makes his ties.
You could not have put that better Steve Morse, totally agree everything you have said........ I hear this company is owned by Warren Buffett, he is loaded, one of the richest men in the world...... The conditions those workers are working in is disgusting & should be made illegal & their pay is an insult to them.......... Buffett & others like you that run companies like this ought to be ashamed of yourselves. You must be totally sick human beings to allow this to go on in your companies purley for profit, greed & power.
Alessandro Silano I agree with you the programme undercover boss is just about ratings and feelgood emotions Not about any real changes which would improve the work conditions of all employees.
Steve you are correct, in the land of the free and land of dreams, its the top skimming everything while working the middleclass and loweclass as slaves at slave-like wages, in a system where the system dosnt give much of anything for the taxes they pay on their low salary job, they have to find money for education and healthcare on the side.. Most European countries have long since discovered the benefits in a well educated and healthy population that get a fair salary, 5-6+ weeks paid vacation, paid maternity/paternity leave, free healthcare and free education ect, sure Europeans pay a bit more in tax, but most actually get a bit in return for those money. Also, does american companies still view unions as socialist evil? Cause Unions in Europe often does a bloody good job when negotiating with company leaders and governments for worker minimum wages, benefits as pension ect. In my country (and Americans like their McDonalds so i will use that as exsample) a McDonalds employee earns around 20$ in average base starting wage. When i was 18 (and thats more than 20 years ago) i took a year off to work unskilled at the local pig butchery, i had a starting salary of 25$, same job today pays as starting salary around 31-32$ as starting wage, effectively meaning that even after 40% tax, the avalaible money after tax exceeds the american low wage before tax, and then the European wont have to worry to much about saving up for education or a hospital bill, because.. thats already taken care off through the tax. It seems that the american industry is not that far away from the soviet system, that inflated productivity and economy through arms production for own use and to force allies to buy at overprice. "We can always build more tanks, then people will have a job building them". and that system will cave in sooner or later as it has everywhere else, because you have to keep feeding that system and at some point you just dont need anymore tanks, or as in china cities and housing.. They tried to inflate by building infrastructure and now Theres many many many ghost towns and unfinished building projects there, thats why they now are invading africa with their build-o-mania. I honestly feel bad for these workers that get bought off by 25cents an hour salary increase, American corporations need to treat their workers better, and since the system fails in America, provide benefits in a larger scale, because the american government does not care about the american people.
Lots of corporate run places are like that. I worked at places where it was like 5-10 cent annual raises. The best way to combat this is not working for companies like that.
Amazing this man deserves to have even more money because he knows how to treat people and how to share it. Love and blessings for women and men like this boss
LMAO. Yeah it's not much but let's be real here bro. They're fucking stacking boxes, if you want to make that a full time, permanent position well either you're in a bad spot or no real aspirations.
@@outogetyougotyou5250 I am trying to figure the point rhat you are making. I wrote that comment so long ago. What I have written I have written and I don't think arguing with you would add any intellectual or esoteric benefits. Remind me who you are again, never mind I agree with you, irrelevant.
@@bungohead That understandable. I'm not trying to argue with you at all. I simply replied to your comment and gave my two cents so to speak. I don't see who I am having an relevance to what I said...
@@funfff i know these shows are staged. I am talking about healthcare companies can provide for their workers. I would love to see it. People will become more loyal to their workplace i am sure.
rest in peace CEO Sam - you had a beautiful heart and soul and your time on Earth was cut short - too short. It makes it even sadder watching this to know that he passed away at just age 56 :(
Just fully watched it now. I hate to read your comment made me sad i just had a wonderful time watching it and i dint know if its real or not hope not. His a good man 😔
not really. it depends how much he gets per hour. say he gets 10$, then that would mean an instant 2,5% increase. thats not too bad, but it should be more. at the same time, could this guy do the same work with a computer blurting out numbers in your ears every ten seconds? if yes, then its justified, if not then this guy should get that increase as well
To some people those 25 cents are a lot, but it shows how little awareness one has to make fun of that. To many spoiled people around who never really worked a day in their entire life.
Flyby Wire, I totally agree with you. All the CEOs in this undercover series are very well paid, but they are so ignorant of the real world outside of their comfortable offices.
Marilyn that was exactly my thought, a 16yo is spoiled and lives in a bubble if they dont know that people actually work 24/7. But.. that being said, her dad did seem like a fair man, i have a feeling its the mom keeping the children in their pink fantasy world while dad is working to bring in the money, i bet she dosnt lift a finger herself at home and that she dosnt have a job and that theres both a maid and a gardener hired to keep the house.
Wow, 25 cents and free drinks. Ok, free drinks is nice, but in this kind of environment it should be standard anyway, because it is a health issue and an employee without heatstroke definitely pays off for the company! 25 cents is a sad joke. Thats +15$ a week (calculated with 60h). Really? This guy calls that a "raise"? Cool he pays for 3 people's bills and stuff, but the rest of the 2000 employees are actually not better off than before. Aside from not getting heat stroke. He was just a crybaby for the camera and his kids are deluded af.
how to tell someone is clueless about business! As he stated that it costs the company 100k per year for that 25 cent raise which includes some of that 2000 employees you said is not better off. Not all of them employees are as committed and devoted... so what is better no one ever getting anything or a few people who really earned it? Now go look in a mirror and ask why you so bitter and jealous.
30234 views and only 134 thumbs up? The courage and honesty of these bosses are INCREDIBLE. Most companies would hide their flaws and continue to deceive themselves, treating people and their own company wrongly. I think these companies' bosses are the best examples all bosses should be following
this kind of show, esp. this one, restores my faith in humanity,,, good to see, and well done to the owner of the company for going above and beyond the call of duty. touching. warming stuff,,, x
I would like to hear that the " boss" take money from his/hers personal bank account instead of the company's ( workers salaries, pensions etc,) . I can also easily give away money that is not mine in the first place..... Each companies should have a trust/emergency fund for the employees let say 10% of the whole company.
OMG 😳 this was so happy until the end it was so emotional 😭 I cried !!! Now this is the best undercover boss CEO who cares for his employees!!! Well done 👍 Sam !!! May GOD bless you and your family and everyone in the Company !!!!
i watched all undercover videos but i’m not really happy rest of the employees. you paid off lot of things it’s really appreciate , but you not care abt other employees . When you help them this people they are high level employees than others staffs. may i know what you guys did other basic level hard work employees ?
ALOW MY FRIEND..I WATCH THE VIDEO...ONE THING I HAVE TO SAY,,,,VERY REAR YOU WILL FIND PERSONS LIKE YOU..MY GRZULATION..YOU ARE A REALY GENDLEMAN WITH VERY GOOD AND BIG HARD...YOU MAKE ME CRY HAPPY..HAVE ALL WAYS GOOD DAYS MY FRIEND YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TOO
i can't help but cry, to be generous and understanding is one thing ,but weeping with the employee is really something else, God bless you and your family!!! with His kingdom
