Nothing to be scared of, on the contrary, he seems trustworthy (wouldn't do no harm unless he's attacked). Had I not watched this vid I would have no clue about what he did. Only one thing would tell me to be cautious : so many tattoos. As to the angry, aggressive people you mentioned, they might "impress" but usually they're not the "street predators" you should be concerned with.

When you see to kids playfighting, you don't see them throwing light punches but they instead they wrestle, because that's the natural human fighting style.

God, that reminds me of when I went to Newcastle. I came from Canada, went to Exeter for Uni, took the train to Newcastle to see Vindolanda, the Roman ruins of Hadrian's Wall. I'm a bit of a history geek, I'm well read and educated in general English, I've lived in Exeter a few months and getting on decently with the southern English people there. I thought I would have no problems communicating. I arrived at the train station and asked the attendant where the nearest bathroom was, in my standard American/Canadian english. The worker was a young woman, and I could not understand a word she said, something about off to the right. She was black so maybe i thought she had a thick accent and I'm tired from the train ride. Used Google maps to find the nearest fast food's for a bathroom. Got on a bus to my airbnb following Google. Gave a try asking a local woman on the bus for directions/clarification I was going the right way. Older white lady. I literally stared blankly at her trying to figure out the words coming out of her mouth, and thanked her without saying anything else. It was like being in another country and you Duolingoed the language. Only it's English.

It's basically just a glorified schoolyard fight, except in schoolyards you may have kids who train combat sports so the schoolyard fight is actually more impressive than the fight with the loudest shouting at the end there where some $3 belt was being tossed around.
