@@S-396-SharkPlaying off of this, why not both? Have an anthro raptor, who is also a transformer that turns into the truck. I think there is some really cool potential in this concept, taking vehicle names and interpreting them as both the literal animal, capable of transforming into that vehicle.

Pronghorns. Greatest at high speed movement of any land animal, and very interesting looking. Criminally underrated in general as a fursona species, or when it comes to more diverse deer-sort ones. I have a pronghorn fursona myself. Also: fungoids. Fungus are cool, and there’s so much character potential in the form of things like fungal zombies, fungoid beings taking the form of things like, say, deer, but with a mushroom cap that is like a literal cap in appearance, albeit broad brimmed.

One that I often suggest are Ruminants, especially sheep!! They are very cute and fluffy, peculiar ears, doofy faces and horns!! And there are so many breeds to pick from for inspiration!! I think they are underrated creatures in general and I'd love to see more sheep characters! Even by just taking a Standard Sheep the fur coat and accessory variety one can play it is immense :>
Bassarisks, aka ringtails, cacomistles, babisuris, miner's cats, ring-tailed cats, North American civets... They're gaining popularity, but are still an underrated genus of the procyonid family that is often confused with lemurs. They're native to the American Southwest and Mexico, and earned the names "miner's cat" and "ring-tailed cat" due to how good they were at clearing rodents from mines. ("Ring-tailed" meant remarkable or exceptional in 19th-century American slang.) Also, they're uncannily cute!
i got whiplash from the furry siffrin art. i never see stuff about in stars in time, and man it's a such shame since it's definitely one of the best games i've played this year in terms of story

Next: CHARMIES!!!! I love this species sooooo much. Theyre a custom species owned by dracononite on da, and theyre so silly. They have clear lower halfs filled with charms. They can be any species hybrid. These guys are so cool bc they have so much creative freedom

Working on a raptor sona actually. You'd think they'd be more common what with dino masks being a thing, but a lot of dino masks I've seen add things like ears and make them look more like a sort of mammal-dino hybrid than a pure dinosaur. You also don't see a lot of raptor fursonas that have "proper" fursuit heads (for lack of a better word) rather than a dino mask. I can understand that though, dino masks are pretty great. Maybe once I get this design finalized I'll try my hand at making one.
I wanna make a species based on furred raptors that are literally just The opposite of a closed species, Due to their high mutation rates you can do basically anything with them, change the snoot, make it a taur, give it wings, make it hairless, give it four eyes, cybernetics, horns, seven ears, just do anything I was thinking of naming the species Vizalkrins
My main fursona, Glitchy is a kitsune cause my friend had one and I thought it was cool! ^w^ I think kitsune is another cool species, basicly a fox with 9 tails.
Im not too educated in the furry fandom and arnt very close but love them. I love the community and have seen a few furries before. Over all fantastic individuals. I do not know how popular tiger furrsonas are and was wondering about them (Sorry if I spelled anything wrong or caused anyone confusion or discomfort or something. I also am typing this out half asleep😅)
Dude has never heard of or seen the dinomask fursuits. At their peak popularity people used a Jurassic World raptor masks as a base to paint and put ears on. I actually have a dinomask fursuit using the t-rex variant. Her name is Inostra and I sculpted on extra details and paint to make her face look like a skull :D
Will avali ever end up on one of these videos? Cause i feel like theyre underrated because it is kinda difficult to just randomly find someone who usually depicts themself as an avali without looking
snakes are severely underrated!! you dont even have to be limbless and add limbs to your character, or you could be cool and give them robo limbs B) besides, big long tail gud :thumbs_up:
best way to have interesting furry species? make the species yourself (optionally you also never elaborate on it or share the character or make other characters in the species or really elaborate on what the species is at all, I usually choose some combination of those)
