I dont think its fair to tell ppl they "can't" heal "in isolation". I did. I had no choice so I did. I started reintegrating relationships after I had done a LOT of healing on my own.

Hi there. Thank you for your comment. I agree with you that we can heal without community connection. I'm sorry that you didn't have a choice and that you found your way through alone. It's a much more difficult process. I'm proud of you, but it makes me sad. I'm not saying this is true in your case, because I don't know the details. So many victims/survivors choose to isolate as a way to protect themselves from additional trauma. If we can stretch ourselves and enroll or participate in activities that bring us human connection and support, the process to mental health and healing goes more quickly. Stress, confusion and the trauma it creates produces stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol that compromise our endocrine system. When we can participate in activities and healthy human connection that produces endorphins and newfound ways to experience success in our autonomy, it expedites our healing. I hope that makes sense. Take real good care of yourself. Love, Annette

@@annetteoltmans7190 if your person picker is off because abuse taught you to gravitate towards toxic ppl and you dont tend to that first you are highly likely to ve retraumatized by choosing to find replacement ppl before healing your picker.
