Dr nassif, thank you for this video. I had a small reduction and still ended up with ENS. Cut and cauterized so Im glad to hear you only lateralize turbinates. Since you are the most prominent Ent / plastic surgeon I hope others will listen to you and you can encourage them to be as conservative as you are when it comes to surgery to the turbinates. ENS is absolutely horrible. Nobody deserves to go through it.

If you only had a small reduction there should of been no cutting whatsoever-and lateralize you mean reduce!

@@mikekaraoke no my turbinates were literally cut with scissors and cauterized to stop the bleeding

I had my turbinates removed 10 years ago and my life has never been the same since. Please be careful with trusting any ent/surgeon as you only know how horrible this is ONLY when you have it. ☮️❤️

Day 25 after my septoplasty and turbinoplasty and I can say my soul is completely crushed and devastated, I can feel how the neurological nerves suffered an alteration and I can no longer feel the sensation of breathing, what keeps me alive is my powerful mindset of tricking my brain into calming down but this is inhumane, how could you not even mention this was a possibility especially it being an unrecognized chronic pathology. I’m horrified with absolutely nobody taking me serious, how can hell in life forever be a possible outcome after a medical procedure, this is beyond torture it’s life ending..

Good for you Doctor, not reducing the turbinates. Thank you for addressing this very serious issue!

@@healthyisbeautiful8720 Do I? lol He even said people that got one or both turbinates removed some got not all got ENS! But he wouldn't get them removed!

Thank you for drawing attention to this issue! I am an ENS Patient myself. From my experience, only some patients experience paradoxical obstruction. Many experience the feeling of a nose that this too wide open instead. And they suffer from chronic hyperventilation. Also, what do you think about jaw widening procedures instead?

I'm having my turbinates sorted by a really good ENT, and he said to me removing inferior turbinates shouldn't be done or every touching the middle turbinates! But he is reducing mine with a Celon machine as been swollen for over 4 years with nasal sprays etc
@healthyisbeautiful8720
@healthyisbeautiful8720 18 дней назад
Dont do it! They keep saying complete removal only is dangerous. It is a lie. Any alteration can cause ENS. Even lateralization but the risk is less.

@@healthyisbeautiful8720 I will do it, My ENT is Vik Veer has his own RU-vid channel watch his video about ENS. He has done thousands of them of reducing them with Celon and has always said never touch the middle turbinates as he knows some surgeons have + had arguements with them. + he has never given any of his patients ENS in the decades he has been doing it-so he knows exactly what he is doing. His waiting list is so long. I'm also getting this done for free as live in UK so on the NHS.

Keep an eye open for a new nasal spray. It is active iodine AKA Molecular Iodine. Google this and stay strong. Relief is coming.
