4th year medical student...have been through rotation, in class, and literature. And NO ONE has been able to explain it as well as this video!! Thank you!
The most helpful hyponatremia-video i have watched (and i have watched a lot by now). Thank you, from a medical student with a exam in nephrology in 2 days!
before i found this video, i literally had to bust my brain to remember an algorithm... just to forget it all the next day. you've explained it so well and it's stuck in my head now. thank u so so so much!!!
Very clear explanation. I’ve studied this topic tons of times without really getting it; now I finally got to understand it. Many thanks. It’d be lovely to have a video about hypernatraemia too.
I had SIADH due to pituitary tumor, which caused severe hyponatremia with sodium of 103. This was helpful in understanding what happened to me! Thank you.
Thank you - I must have had this explained to me at least half a dozen times, but this is the first time I've actually understood the subject! Well done!!
The last two days I´ve watched at least 3 more videos, listened a master class y reviewed my key concepts book. about Sodium and SIADH. This is the best video by far!!!. Than you so much!!! I really appreciate it!
Super helpful resource. I'm trying to do my hyponatremia training for work as a nurse and bloody hate it. This has made it more barable and helped me understand a bit better
Diabetes can lead to hyponatremia with normal plasma osmolarity and more rare high plasma osmolarity. The key is medical history and clinical findings of dehydration fx.
Wooow! It scared me honestly, I hope what I got is just by drinking too much water and it's not coused by my seizure medicine. My doctor will tell me Tuesday.
Dr Watchman all I can say is God bless you! Thank you for the hard works you put on your videos. I listen to your podcast on Spotify whenever I am going around or doing house chores. Thank you for making me to realise that I can still make my dreams come through after years of struggles and delays by God's grace. A nurse of more than a decade aspiring to get into medical school
3rd year medical student here in the Philippines. Dr. Tom, your videos have been SUPER helpful, even the study tips in your other channel! God bless you and I hope you continue to make more videos!
Doctors have no idea why my muscles are spasming/twitching. Knowing that I have a history of low sodium though it is at 140 I drank 1 tbsp of salt in a pint of water and the spasm/twitches practically stopped. If this was drank within 5 minutes would it increase sodium levels too quickly and cause Central Pontine Myelinolysis? Thank you.
As Zakariyya below said, your voice is the same as the guy from headspace so I effectively get a meditation session and a very useful lesson in the process! Can't be better than this. Also, excellent video!!
Hi. I need to make a video explaining it because I get this question quite a lot. I use procreate on the ipad pro and record the ipad screen using quicktime on the mac. I then edit using final cut pro. Hope that helps
