What is normal sodium in urine? Urine osmalality? I know serum values but no one gives urine values.
@lullabylane-rj4mm
@lullabylane-rj4mm 5 месяцев назад
The normal sodium level in urine can vary, but typically it ranges from 20 to 220 millimoles per liter (mmol/L)

@mustafaidankhalil
@mustafaidankhalil 3 года назад
Diabetes can lead to hyponatremia with normal plasma osmolarity and more rare high plasma osmolarity. The key is medical history and clinical findings of dehydration fx.

Doctors have no idea why my muscles are spasming/twitching. Knowing that I have a history of low sodium though it is at 140 I drank 1 tbsp of salt in a pint of water and the spasm/twitches practically stopped. If this was drank within 5 minutes would it increase sodium levels too quickly and cause Central Pontine Myelinolysis? Thank you.

that's correct, however the patient may not be oedematous if they are managing to keep the fluid mostly in the intravascular space
