But I'm official, Mr. More. Just kidding... FYI - The older method of loader operating rating was an industry standard. A New Holland employee once explained to me that the loader rating was half of the loader's tipping weight. This loader tipping weight was literally achieved by finding the point when the rear tires left the ground at full loader height. Weight was literally piled into the raised bucket (as Neil described) and when a piece of paper could be slipped under the rear tires, that was the tipping load. Rated operating capacity was simply half of that tipping load. Therefore, a loader with tipping load of 2,000-lbs. would have a rated operating capacity of 1,000-lbs.
urbanothepopeofdeath I live near buffalo, and I'm still thinking of going down to Messick's for my first personal tractor. They have amazing product information and I really respect their community involvement.
Puffery. Neil is a gentleman. Never knew this. My 2006 B7800 sports an LA402, thus 402 x 2.2 = 884.4lbs. Since that's an older model, it's center bucket. She seems to do a smidge better than that - picking up engines and rear ends of known weight - but I never went up much higher than 6ft or so with those loads. She'll heft a heaping bucket (60" wide) of sand, but hits the wall about 4 or 5" AGL. keep it just full and she'll go over the side of a pickup, again., I don't go higher than needed for safety's sake. Seems a well engineered machine in that respect, the capabilities seem right in line with it's safe limits with a good counterweight. I've got loaded tires and carry a 60" HD Box blade. It never makes the rear light. I know this is an old video, but I just learned something. Thanks!
I was always led to believe the last number was the series of that particular loader design. As in a LA1154 is an updated version of the LA1153 loader.
Bucket center is 500 mm and a 30% reduction. Bucket edge is 800 mm and approximately a 40% reduction. Most manufacturers give lift capacities at full height and at 1500mm from the ground which equals 59".
I understood the weight capacity at "the pin". But..... Where is "the pin" ? And now I know. Thanks from another equipment junkie. My first car was a John Deere, second car was a Massey Ferguson. (12-14) I spent a year diving a Kabota in a Uranium mine. I loved the Kabota.
When you buy one of these Front Loaders for a tractor (e.g. LA1065A for the Kubota MX Series tractors) do they come with a bucket or is the bucket sold separately? Likewise, I have this same question for the BH92 Backhoe attachment in whether or not it comes with a bucket or is the bucket sold separately. The Kubota website (Build my Kubota) doesn't make this clear.
So the L304 has a lifting/raising capacity of 468 lbs. Then you take away the weight of the bucket and you'll have the weight of material that you can lift. I have a 54" bucket (quick attach), any idea what that bucket weighs?
where are your stores. im considering buying a kubota. i live in California. driving as far as Michigan is not too far for me as my family lives there, i could visit them.
Been disappointed w/ my LA1353 quick attach loader on M8540. The latch handles are poor quality, the latch pin is forever getting stuck even with regular greasing, and any tiny amount of snow, soil or manure on the quick attach pad faces will make your attachment not quick.
Neil, I thought the same thing but is that the same with the BX series because they went from a 243 to a 343 loader and the spec sheet is still around the same lift capacity ? A gain of100kg is around 220lbs but not on their spec sheet. Just wondering.
The capacity did not change. The number they used to create the model number was based on bucket center, its now based on pivot pin. Make sense? The loaders lift the same amount.
It would nice IF on compact tractors manufactures would NOT make one key fits-all...Just maybe it would be a little harder too steal...Say you have a L3010 every L-3010 key will fit your trackor..it's almost quicker then HOT-WIRING IT.
Maybe you need to move. We leave keys in every tractor, combine and pickup as well as leaving our house unlocked. Better than having our house window broken out AND being burglarized since no one will ever hear glass breaking or an alarm out here.
