Kia ora Ehoa. I'm just wondering, regarding succession of whanau WHENUA. When a parent has passed away, and we as a collective siblings have agreed, can we establish a Papakainga / family estate & utilize the whenua under a Ahu trust?

Can a trust be made for two different lots I whakapapa to? E.g. my fathers, who has passed away and am looking to succeed his land, and my mothers, who is still alive wanting to have them in the one trust. Nga mihi

its been 5 years since my partner passed away, i was his partner for 10 years and helped rise his two children. When he passed away we went to the lawyer to find out about his estate and was adviced at that time that all entitlements were mine upon my death or got married. after talking with his two older children i told them that we would make decision of what to do with any money and i left it up to them to talk with the lawyer. I understand that there was a big dividend paid out and i wasnt included. I am no longer on the death cerificate

Kia Ora. I'm wanting to know information on how our trust can form when members are decease and trust has been put into one of the members own trust. How do we operate in taking it out of his name and put into another. Where it was oringally.

My nana past and my mother and her brother have assumed charge over her estate in regards to land. Some of us kids and I are concerned about them being in charge as we feel they not only have spent most our life incarcerated but that there is maneuvering by other family that live similar lives to my mum and uncle. Can I or other cousins take steps to safe guard our own part of our nanas legacy. Or are we at my mother and uncles mercy?

Why do you need lawyers to set up a trust? when the beneficiaries could nominate someone in their whanau who has Mana (Executor) an then workout who is smart and transparent with finance (trustees) so that way the beneficiaries know their money is going to work for them. The down side is if the Maori Land Trust becomes the Executor, they can put a stop on the trustees to pay (benefit) to the beneficiaries. Unenstinguish Native Title, the land can never be sold again.

MLC has information on who is preferred as a Trustee, which is a good thing, & if you are that person their is a lot of mahi to be done where it specifically starts where you live, your foundation, your waka, well being, & old school generations need to get into the facts that physical well being is a must for whanau that indulge in too much kai, & long term medication intake, from my experience the Kaupapa in the caring of Kuia should be the responsibility of the female side of the whanau, not the male side. The raru research starts with the Colonisers & all that trouble they carried on their backs to dump it & program our Indigenous Tupuna who were originally educated beyond belief that the corruption of the Colonial Matrix System had attacked the entire Indigenous Communities all at the same time Worldwide during the 1800s. 👁️🕳️⚫️🌍🌎🌏👽☠️✨☮️

The Maori land courts is the same as a colonial system created to strip us from full control of our whenua (Maori oppresses) , this should be taught to rangatira in schools as a compulsory subject, so they don't have to seek when they get older, and have a focus in what they need to study which is of in importance for the future purpose

Kiaora. All land is Maori customary land TTWMMLA 1993. Being independent aside from the government of whom created all ahu whenua portfolios operating under part 12, of ahu whenua portfolios, administrated by government created iwi. Adopting due process under part 13 of Maori incorporations is a correct direction towards the true owners within native hapu districts, completely independent from foreign jurisdiction., overseen by native territorial authority's. The six status of land change the status of land to Maori freehold by re vesting from general land title, this takes it out of government conveyancing and acquisition under the land transfer act 1952, which is the most powerful instrument in there armament. Next step in the right direction, establishing papa kaianga under Maori tikanga, opens the door to activate customary title to adopt preserve and protect these native hapu customs. Warning to the weary, once papa kaianga under customary land is established do not operate any form of conveyancing over this land to generate money for business or you will lose customary right to title., by crown acquisition to forfeit once native title back to general land for government conveyancing, on a footnote the next best thing to Maori customary land title, which is similar in nature is allodial title, instead banks offer every one general title, good luck whanau.

I am one of the 98% of New Zealanders who don't understand the Maori language So when I hear that inconsideration I instantly switch off all sorts of media nowadays.

Trustees will become the new legal owners of the land, not the original owners who become the beneficiaries of the trust.
