Curious about where to use multiband comping in a mastering chain? Before limiting, after? Before or after buss comping? Before or after eq? etc

I would always use limiting at the very end

I use the Albeton version to create a low end in the place of Bass using samples when making Hip Hop. I will hi pass the sample then duplicate the sample and play with the multi band to create a sub bass and it works!!!

As a video idea it would be cool if someone would play a little bit with the compressor: let's bring it forward with this setting, let's push it back with that setting, let's bring out the transients, let's bring up the quieter parts. And so on. I was confused as hell for way too many years chasing THE compression.

Indeed, it's an interesting discussion! I like to fix everything inside of the mix, however with any densely mixed genres MultiBand on the bus is very popular

Ads are governed by your habits, not the channels. So RU-vid thinks that's what you want to see. I'm seeing kids toys because my kids use my laptop all the time LOL
