FINALLY I GET IT! You have managed to explain how the wide vs long lens, open vs. narrow apertures, zoom out vs. backing up, all interact with each other -- I have never understood their relationship before! THANK YOU!!!!
Terrific video which really clears up the wide angle perspective issue. The term that came to mind for me was “relative distance” when you were doing the demonstration with your hand and crushing your head. Good stuff.
I love this video. for beginners who wants to buy some lenses; it was a nice test to clear up our mind. please please make a video for camera bodies as well. new bodies all the time have interview and people compared them... but non of beginners can pay 4000 for a body camera. we need some ideas in budget 😉
well I like to do portrait photography exactly. I can spend till 2500 for body, lenses and basic stuff. I watched lots of RU-vid videos but still I don't know what to do as some of videos are clearly a kind of advertising.... can you help me and give me an idea please?
Every camera can make picture and can do portrait photography. Since you have the budget. Then just look into that range of camera n dont bother the rest. Which brand? Get the brand u are most happiest with or have more confident with. Or if the lens you really like or want .. only that certain brand has it. Then it got to be it. Just go for it. (dont get too focus into what gear.. focus more into how to make a picture) If you dont say. Nobody will know what camera body or brand you use. Back to the question.. as for camera body.. get a paper.. write down what matter most for you. Full frame or not. high fps or not. etc etc. Then if that body fits your budget. Go get it. Once u shoot alot or more.. or few years time. When you know better. You will know better. If just starting out..really. dont confuse yourself. Just go get 1 and start shooting. 2017 now.. even a basic camera can make good photography if you use it properly. But if getting a better one makes you happier, make u get the shot easier or make you more confident. Then go for it ! It's your money.
Hello, may I ask you for help? I still have no idea what lens to buy for shooting pet street photography on Nikon DX. Ofc, I have my 50mm, but I was thinking about something wider? 17-50mm for example? Thank you so much for your help.
