Understanding Predestination | Identity and Destiny 

So then, can it work the other way too - can someone that was not chosen or predestined to something, choose, and accomplish something he was not predestined or chosen for?

I don’t think so, or if that’s possible it would not be born of God’s Spirit but rather of human striving. There’s already too much of that in the history of the church. To follow the analogy, I might want to be king of England, but it’s highly unlikely to happen as I’m not of royal blood, in the line of succession, or even English! I’m not called to it or predestined to it. I’d have to mount a bloody revolution to become king of England, and I’m sure that’s not God’s will. 😊

God is able to save to the utmost. If people can get loose of religious spirits the Fear of the Lord can ignite understanding of these things. I pray we and many of those still in darkness can see more clearly the great grace of the Lord. He wants all to be saved, but there must be a turning in faith to Christ Alone. YES, It must be by the Word of God! Seldom do we hear what Rabbi said in conclusion. Studying the Bible, putting that as a very high priority, is missing in many churches. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"- not college knowledge, but the Word of God knowledge. That is what keeps us from errors and cult leaders! We need to repent and be born again. If we will not humble ourselves and enter in the only gate - Christ- it can not happen.

Amen. We need all of what God has given us to equip his saints for the times that are fast coming upon us: the Scriptures, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and real communion with one another in Messiah Yeshua. God be praised!

I got confused on this as well. Although, If you reread that portion, then it says that all should come to REPENTANCE. but not all will go to heaven. He wants them to repent because that means they acknowledge they are sinners and that Jesus is Lord and Savior. Although, most will not make it regardless. By sin, backsliding, etc. Some have grace on their life. If those people will grace go left, the Lord will intentionally bring them back to right. Although there are many who fall off the path and are not regarded. They fall off the path, and woe to them. It doesn't mean he doesn't love them. But they were not in His will. It's a scary reality.

I truly agree with you , hell was made for satan and his angels not people, Jesus died for all not some but all , we are predestined to be like Jesus not predestined for hell , God love all He hate the ways of some but don’t hate any people, Jesus died for all , Some are chosen for some specific assignments but all are chosen for salvation but they have to choose to receive Jesus.

I'm glad that you spoke up here. A loooong discussion could be generated upon this one topic alone. I believe we ALL were born with the CHOICE to receive or deny Yeshua Hamashiach as our personal Lord and Savior. This "predestination" doctrine of "Elohim PRE-choosing those even before their birth" doesn't settle well in my spirit at all! So....basically....if we adopt this "belief", then we'll NEVER have the peace and joy that Yeshua promises us throughout our whole life. There will be no way our minds will not be conflicted on our spiritual state 24/7! "Am I chosen?" or after all my life of studying Elohim/Yeshua Hamashiach/Ruach Hakodesh, serving Him, and spreading the GOOD NEWS of Yeshua, that I may NOT make it into the gates of heaven? That is bleak and depressing for anyone. I believe, that I, CHOSE to believe in the work of Yeshua on the cross of Calvary and that His Blood washed me clean of my sin debt, that I COULD NOT PAY on my own, and that I was gloriously saved! And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:14‭-‬18 KJV My King James Version Bible says "Whosoever".......that doesn't show any type of 'selection' process at all! Whosoever believes upon Yeshua Hamashiach/Jesus Christ of Nazareth SHALL BE SAVED. Plain and Simple! 🙌🏼✝️

Yea, God is not confused about His good will and plan for all life , yet we have a free will to choose to receive Jesus because we are not robots or zombies, people are confused and prideful enough to say God choose them and not some .

Yea Jesus said if He be lifted up He will draw all judgment to Himself, the judgment of the whole human race, some translation say he will draw all men to Himself but that’s not what the original said, but God is all about souls and that is just the truth, no one who genuinely hear His word and call out to Him He will not turn them away and say you not predestined for heaven.

I tend to think of Election as a blueprint for what God intended to do before the world was made. A lot of people think God is stiff arming people out of heaven, but the simple fact of the matter is, Man's inherited nature from sin is hatred towards God, No one at birth Loved God, Only by being born again, is anyone's nature changed. we didn't deserve it, He chose to have mercy on us. Didn't have to. Also consider this, lets say you are President, and you go onto death row and see 40 people there, for whatever gracious reason, you turn to 20 and say, "you're free to go" the other 20 on death row, have no right to claim that choice to be unjust. It's an act of Grace. that's what all men are born as, all deserving to die. God has mercy, on whom He has mercy. He is not making people Hate Him. He has poured out enormous Blessing on this world, and people still hate him, of their own will. I'll admit though, it can fry your brain.

Lydia de Jongh, no one comes to JESUS or is capable of believing unless s/he has been chosen by GOD. Faith does not come from ourselves, but from the LORD. (Ephesians 2:8,9) How do you know you have been chosen? If you believe/trust in JESUS as the Son of GOD, you have been chosen by GOD. (John 3:16)

@@repentancenow ​ @lucianapelota Thanks for your replies. It is not an issue for myself. Although I do not understand it fully. But I know people, even close family, who are haunted by doubts because of this. I know it is the devil haunting them. But they cannot get over it. For it IS written: many are called, but few are chosen. And they have been under the teaching that you can never know if God has chosen you. Unbelievers misuse these verses to say: God has not chosen me, so I cannot be blamed. I am searching for biblical answers to both these issues.

That's pretty wild! I had two dreams that where Biblical in nature. One was where I was laying on the floor and all of a sudden I see Jesus, glowing like the sun, outside through the blinds, with Mary and Martha following behind Him laughing and jumping for joy. I rush outside to see Him but when I leave the house I am transported to this empty copy paper office in Silicon Valley, the room was dimly lit, their were potted plants and I was all alone, the next part of the dream was I was in Ancient Israel standing on the stairs of the Jewish Temple and I saw many Jews running out of the temple to the point where they were piling on each other, I then look at the sky and see the sun engorge then explode. My other dream is that I am on the highway sitting in the passenger seat and at a three way intersection, I see the Holy Trinity go through the sky on a cloud. After that, I am transported to Manhattan, only it is smoldering ruins as if a nuke was set off in the city. I am standing on top of an apartment with a crowd of people and we see this massive burning corpse of a demon, I would say half the size of the skyscraper, leaning on said skyscraper and then I wake up.

@tristenweber-nd1sv I love that you shared this. You described the dreams so well. I've lived in both the Bay and NYC. I am originally from Brooklyn. I have several family members that have dreamt of NYC being hit by a nuclear disaster. Thank you for sharing. Hold on to those dreams tightly.

Shalom Ronju, As you listen carefully, Rabbi Schneider alternates back and forth between calling His name Jesus and Yeshua. Most of the world recognizes the name Jesus. Also, we are proclaiming Yeshua haMashiach as the Messiah of Israel as well as Jesus the Messiah as the savior of the world. Jesus is His Greek name, and Yeshua is His Hebrew name. I recently read from the prophet Amos. Though the scripture refers to the time of king jeroboam, we can see that others are "worthless" , and not "all the descendants of Jacob" will perish. ✝️ ❤️. Not all secrets are revealed to us. Only those we need.

If Jews reject you they are not believing Jews. In Christ there is no more Jew or Gentile, we are all one in Christ. If someone hates their brother, they cannot claim to love God. My brother, I advise you to stay clear from false brethren, i.e. those who claim to be Jews but who are not, but a synagogue of Satan. Jesus says in Revelation that they will bow down before you and admit that God had loved you.
