Understanding Solid Solutions | Skill-Lync 

In one of our previous videos, we have discussed the different types of solids based on their crystal structure. But, all those solids fall under the category of pure solids, that is, they are made up of a single type of atom. But, in real-life scenarios, pure solids are rare.
Almost every solid we found in nature has impurities in it. Meanwhile, impurities can also be added to the materials to improve their properties. One such addition of impurities yields solid solutions and that is what this video is about.
We have explained what solid solutions are, why we need to study about them, its types and the rules governing the formation of solid solutions.
