Today is about understanding how to attract attention in quilting by playing with texture. You can suppress an area, or you can leave a selected shape not quilted. Dense quilting will suppress the batting. Leaving a larger are unquilted will cause it to pop up. A well define shape will create a point of interest and attract attention. And we can play with it around and control it to create even more beautiful quiltis

Why resist :) go for it! solid fabrics are best to see the texture. They are like empty pages to be filled! It is fun and it is creative. ❤❤❤

This made some lovely texture. You always give me great ideas, Gosia. I actually cut the pieces for my table runner project today (three 12" Indian Star blocks, plus border) and will begin the piecing tomorrow. I think I need to do some quilting; my mind has been all over the place, can't sleep well, so I think some creative time is necessary. Hope you have a wonderful upcoming week! ~Cynthia

You need some slow time, for sure. Quilting is good, it lets me to slow down. I think I would have a mental breakdown several times if I would not have this outlet. Making a beautiful decoration for your table, is like adding this last creative touch to the meals that will be served. It is what makes home. Keepinig my fingers crossed!❤❤❤

Thank you most kindly for your feedback!❤❤❤. I love all crafts, and enojoy ebroidery and crochet but quilting is really my thing. I have a Janome M7, it is alrge machine but the bit smaller ones like Horizon also do their job. My needles are Organ titanium, relatively large ones 80 and 90. When I start hearing it or when y thread breaks too often then I change it. It depends on the intensity of my quilting, but I would say, every two large quilts....
