You to stop with return on investment talk. Anyone who has rented power for 20 years already is pointless. My reason for going solar 100 % to get rid of power company dependance. I would rather have excess everyday and keep my batteries and charge them quickly everyday and use them every night then give a penny to power company This takes more then most talk about. The other thing not discussed is making insulation upgrades to the home. The best is on the roof line insulation. I have a metal roof with 2 inch isoboard under metal and 6 inch sprayed inside the roofline and keep temperature swings way down overall My thinking is build system 2 twice as big as needed and system run at 1/2 duty cycle then half system running wide open all the time trying to keep up. We never seem to hear this from installers. The first point of any power production system is failure is NOT an OPTION. They are a few other points that get over looked in system designs.
