Understanding the Elementary Scope & Sequence  

In order to become a master Montessori educator, it is necessary to understand the scope and sequence of the curriculum. Rather than working with a single grade for a single year, a Montessori educator needs to understand the goals of a three-year plan for a multi-age learning environment. It is also necessary to understand Montessori’s emphasis on understanding as the connection of ideas rather than the ideas themselves.
