I show and explain the brake pad wear sensor that comes on a Land Rover LR4 (and other Land Rover models). The sensor has a copper loop embedded in the plastic that when worn through / broken, creates an open circuit triggering the warning light on the instrument cluster. If your amber brake light has come on, you've worn through and need to replace the sensor when you replace your pads. Keep in mind there are only sensors on the left sides, front and back.
