You’ve been promising us Anna for a while and she didn’t disappoint! It’s great to see makeup on another Celtic fair maiden (although I think a Mediterranean sailor sneaked in somewhere to mine because I do tan in summer 😂). Top tip if you have pale skin and struggle to find concealer and foundation shades: go to a black-owned brand like Fenty or Uoma Beauty as they always have the full spectrum. Which is very decent of them, I suppose they know what it’s like to face these frustrations… Anyway, would love to see Anna back- have a great weekend, Caroline!! ❤xx
I tend to be a bit strict about my colours. I am cool with sl warm Hazel eyes. I was horrified when u used the peach blush! It turned out OK but I would have like to have seen it with a cool pink to compare. Thank you ladies x

Hi Caroline and Anna. As another pale Scottish woman I can also resonate with makeup being a frustration in many ways - it's easy to go overboard and overwhelm the palest skin. Going by the shades chosen I'm a good bit paler and very cool toned (for reference best shade matches are 00 in Dior forever and 03P in Sephora best skin ever, or 0.5 in Revolution is a good shade match). I have much lighter hair and grey eyes, but I have 51 year old skin with rosacea to cover. Complexion products are a frustration re shade as most brands don't do shades for very pale skin and if they do they're too yellow toned. I can't get a match in Fenty or Huda with their extensive shade range - they're too dark and too yellow. CT is too dark and far too yellow based, as are nars and shiseido. It's a massive struggle. I went to John Lewis, Harvey Nicks, Harrods beauty and Space NK a couple of weeks ago and of the plethora of brands available I found 2 complexion products that were a decent shade match - 2 of probably 50 brands I swatched. I came back with several samples and most of them were not good on my very dry skin - too heavy and too drying. I finally settled on one that looks pretty on the skin (although the shade match isn't perfect it's good enough that I will be able to wear with confidence) and that is the Givenchy glow foundation. I think it's beyond wonderful that deep and olive skintones are being better catered to, but to be truly inclusive sure the ghostly amongst us also need to be represented? In any case this was a pretty look and best wishes.
Lovely Caroline! That blush colour is perfect on Anna. I have cool undertones but a hint of warmth in my makeup still looks the most natural and fresh (most flattering). Especially now that I’m over 50!
Great video, Anna is gorgeous and what fun! Would have liked, though, to see the makeup against a softer hue in her colour palette as I found the brightness quite distracting. Wonderful application and I’m finally getting the idea of the delicacy of the ‘Caroline touch’, i look heaps better when I’m more light handed! Thank you both you are stunning.

I’m new to your channel it was suggested to me on RU-vid and I just want to say firstly I am a hair stylist and makeup artist and I really enjoyed watching you do Anna’s makeup. This video is a perfect example of how so many women lose sight of how they really look and when you have an expert come in and are able to see their face from a different perspective and help them see themselves either again or really for the first time and regain or claim back their confidence is a really beautiful thing. It’s why I love my job so much. Anna you are extremely beautiful with or without makeup but Caroline is so right about using the right techniques to enhance your amazing features that over time we can forget that we even have because we see ourselves every day and tend to start noticing things we don’t like instead of bringing out and enhancing the good. Even artists such as myself need a fresh perspective from someone else and learn new tricks to enhance our looks. You both are gorgeous and this was a very enjoyable video I look forward to watching more.
You guys are so funny. I have always felt like I've had a cool color palette, but as I've aged, I seem to appreciate a bit warmer choice of make up colors to help me look a bit more alive and bring out my eye color. Sometimes the cool colors I have gravitated to in the past just don't seem to be doing me any favors. I think you just have to be open to more choices and try different colors to see if they suit you as years go by. I also have pale skin so colors pick up quickly on me. It's easier now to find foundation or concealer is that is my skin tone so that's nice, but sometimes finding colors that don't overwhelm me is a challenge. Thanks for such an informative video. What a glorious video. I loved 'meeting' Anna and watching you 'tweak' her face from beautiful to gorgeous. I adored watching you work your magic. Oh to sit in that chair. I have to tell you Caroline, you have transformed the way I apply and wear make up. I was influenced by all the hooded lid videos, but they are all so 'glam' and heavy and I realise, thanks to you, that I look so much younger with a fresh, hydrated, dewy skin and the hood lightly knocked back. It drives me crazy when someone tells me I look tired! I ALWAYS look tired, with my hooded eyes and hollowed out undereye. Ugh! She looks fresh and pretty to me.
Well! I'm another cool tone and as you pulled out the peach tones I wondered! But there must be enough cool pink pigment in the blush and lippy to let Anna's rosier tones to shine through. The skin care/ foundation was amazing. The improvement after applying that was pretty stupendous. Matching foundation can be so hard with pale cool toned skin!!

GREAT JOB Caroline! How I wish you could do my makeup. I hate my skin tone...golden freckles on pinkish skin. No one can decide what I can wear to be flattering (warm or cool). Love how you demonstrated the two of you side by side with cool/warm skin tone . So wish I was a definite tone.
Love this! I had 'my colours done' about ten years ago, so know I'm a Spring and need warm and bright colours. It made such a difference to my fashion and beauty choices.

I'm a fair cool person too, and I think the peachy makeup works because it is pulled more pink by our skin! And the pink top is definitely reflecting light onto cheeks and reflecting that colour. Love it, and looking forward to the next videos!
Loved this one. Fascinated by the lip colour comment , I realised this about my lips and get frustrated that lip colours change so much on my lips and never know what to go for. I love an orange red but they go too dark .
