Given a song, how do we find out the lower number used in the song by ear ? Thanks!

why there is a need for bottom time signature when notes itself tell you if that are full notes or minims or crotchets etc. also, bar will tell you how many notes are in there in a bar in combination with the upper time signature number telling you number of beats for reference?

Definitely by looking at the top number itself, we can figure out whether it's in 4 time or 3 time. But, the lower number tells us the beats, the music is written in. Or it tells us which notes are to be treated as 1 count notes. Particularly helpful when we want to distinguish a 3/4 piece with a 3/8 piece. Both pieces will sound same but written differently because of the lower note. In 3/4, crotchets will be treated as 1 beat whereas in 3/8 we'll have to treat quavers as 1 beat.

@@ChetanGhodeshwar Thanks so much for the response 🙏, still a bit confused but I think this will help with combination of more practice for clarity. Please also let us know, how we can get training from you online, how to buy your music notes as your website is not working and any books you recommend for piano learnings. 🙏
