I practiced lucid dreaming for about 2 weeks in 2014, & was already doing things they say take months of practice. I still clearly remember several of those dreams & one of them absolutely changed the trajectory of my life, basically forecasting me meeting my husband. I haven't felt like it was time to dabble again, yet!

The last dream I had was in third person. I was in school when the P.A. Announced that this girls sister had died, and that we were all attending her funeral service at the school morgue. (What?) so everyone was walking down the stairs and then I saw the girl who’s sister had died and she had red hair and was like really pretty, and then my dream did thet thing that movies do when the have “love at first sight” with the pink background and slo-mo and hearts.(which is weird because I’m gay) then we were in the mourned standing around the sisters body and the pretty girl leaves the funeral. I chase her down multiple halls until I meet her at a dead end, and I say “you’re pretty” to which she replies “I actually like girls” and then leaves me standing at the end of the hallway holding a bouquet of flowers in silence. I know why I had this dream because I just split up with this girl who’s bi and likes another girl from my school, which led to me realizing I’m gay. WOW.

I usually dream a lot about climbing and hiking mountains 🏔 and especially the challenging parts of where I am on the edge of falling. There is always sound in my dreams like birds or music. And my dreams often are populated with people I know. yet sometimes I meat new people in my sleep wich is a lot of fun 😃 And when I have struggled internally it manifests in my dreams by me ending up in middelste like battlefields. Lastly lucid dreaming happens only sometimes to me like only once a week. Then I go flying or practicing thing I am working on in life. Like I learned to play a song on the piano once in my sleep and the next day I could play it. That was my best lucid dreaming night. Thanks for doing this topic 😇

I constantly have dreams where I die. Not "wake up just as I'm about to die" kind of dying. Like actually die. Some of them kind of *lift* out of my physical body at the moment of a high speed impact, or I would just see my bod laying there and the people around me ignoring the "me" that's trying to get their attention only to point out "oh no! look he died!" One time I had a dream that led to me somehow being an astronaut in a space suit, but the distance between me and the ground kept getting smaller, and I could feel myself hurtling at multiple times the speed of sound towards the ground. I think I hit the ground at mach 2 or 3 and the moment of impact I just felt my whole body shudder, everything went white for a moment like staring into a photographer's camera flash and I was just standing there looking down at my mangled corpse and my girlfriend, who was coincidentally just standing there, was crying over my body and repeatedly begging me to get up. It's rough

I go to my job and get home, then go to sleep. Everything is blank, no dreams or no rem sleep idk... but then wake up and go back to work.... and repeat... however, whenever I do dream, it's so vivid so realistic and intense that it feels like I'm there emotions and all. It's very intense and usually a forewarning of something that's going to happen. I've actually stopped 1 of them from coming true and have a witness. Which is so cool for me cause I thought I might just be crazy for the longest time.

I usually just fall asleep and wake up but if I do dream it has a very direct meaning and I'll watch it play out like I'm watching a TV show. You've appeared in my dreams three times and you're always in the distance surrounded by people and I wake up when you make eye contact with me

I always have dreams where I am fighting someone and when I'm throwing punches they go super slow and the punches are so soft. But I always win the fight! 🥊

I did have the dream about work thing. That was back when I was working 6 days a week, 4 of them 12 hour shifts. Now that I have a healthy work/life ballence I'm back to normal lucid dreams.

I always used to lucid dream as a kid!!!! Sorry for length I'm just dumping thoughts lol I remember flying for the first time and just zipping around my dream world, which was just my house. Eventually I stopped caring about it and instead wanted to see what the dream world had to offer in it's wild, unconscious ways. I went on adventures. Learned how to stop nightmares. Learned to play games with them. I remember the first time it happened, I was being chased by a cave man, and there was a couch in between us. I kept messing with him pretending to go around it and stopping, and he decided to climb over the couch. I was laughing, it was just a game of tag. I remember how sometimes my world would flip upside-down and I'd have to hang on while everyone was normal and unaware, or I'd get trapped in my dreams. I remember that moment when a dream would make me feel weird and it'd turn into a nightmare real fast. Dream logic is funny like that. A nightmare doesn't just take you. Your fear of what might happen invites it in. If you can stop fearing what might happen, your nightmares can become just like every other dream. I remember a few months ago being chased by ghosts that would travel through paintings or otherwise move through the walls, their bodies stretching the walls like in Stranger Things. It was a horrific sight - but the moment this interesting situation was presented to me, even though it GENUINELY scared me, I dove in. Like hitting that really high ramp you've always been scared of and forcing yourself not to bail. It was this limbo state between fearing what might happen - so it had SOME control over me - and actively enjoying the thrill of diving head first into it anyways. Easily my favorite of these was that I used to travel with my dog. There was this portal in our backyard we would go through when I lucid dreamed, and we'd travel to distant dream worlds. I can just make doorways now and if emotions get too hot (like repeating history with an ex), I'll save what I need from the dream to deal with the issue in the waking world, then just peace tf outta there. But things stopped being so right. I don't know when. Maybe it just happened incrementally. When my dissociation picked up, I had less control over my dreams. Gradually, I lost all control. My ability to fly was lost. Genuinely. After I realized I was trans, I started getting re-associated bit-by-bit, and I grew more and more control. It's actually exceptionally clear to me now that there was this inner self that eventually just gave up on living, only continuing on in hope that an opportunity may come by to once again enjoy being a human. I don't remember hardly any dreams from that time, and what little I do remember is basically dreams that were on repeat. A sort of dissociated haze that reflected my life. But one day, that opportunity did come. And I took it. I realized I was trans, took one step, then two, then more until I realized this actually was what was wrong this whole time, and it changed my dreams radically. It's kind of scary to examine this part of me because while the waking world's memories from most of the last ten years are choppy and not really chronological - the dream world was pretty unaffected. I just wasn't really aware within it. So I can literally log that first time that I went out of my dream house, and tried for one of the first times to fly again. It wouldn't work. So I just flapped my arms like an absolute weirdo. That was like two years ago, and only just now have I mostly regained the ability to glide around at will. I remember flapping my arms and barely making it above treetops before giving up. I would never, EVER let myself be limited like that now, or before I dissociated. But I was so closed off from my own brain that I couldn't build the pathways necessary to move beyond my own limitations - even in my dreams. Now I can just rearrange the logic I use to place myself within a dreamspace so that flying is a mere act of will. As my dreams returned, so did the number of worlds! A lot of them are from recent memories. I have a Subnautica-like world. Sometimes stranded, sometimes living in peace with the creatures. It's often full of leviathans that are more beautiful than scary, but still threatening. Bright bio-luminescent lights covering rough rock, holes that descend into caverns as wide as entire cities. Another is this "overarching" fantasy world. There's a snowy area, a grassy area, a forest, my home, my dad's old house - everything is there. I started Breath Of The Wild a few months ago and now I have a dream world similar to that. There's a sort of combo of worlds that all share the fact that I'm in college in them. I've watched myself slowly make peace with the slow mental breakdown I had during college before I realized I was trans, and learn to not just enjoy those dreams, but explore them deeper too! Craziest part of this is that my dreams grew more complex. It's like I see them in more detail now. More than any other time, I remember when my dissociation first kicked on. There were a couple years where I worked so hard to make my mental state rock solid, and the dreams then... oh my god. I want to write movies about them. They were full of life and wisdom, sacrifice and beauty and the insane constant dance of light and dark that is reality. And then more and more of me caved into the pain, so the dreams faded. And now, once again, dreams like that are returning. idk. No one will read this anyway, you just got me thinking about a lot. I get to watch the beauty of the human mind spring back to life. I get to BE that. I don't just get to BE it, I get to dream it. To live it. To wander this Earth having gone through what I've gone through, with the pieces of me I consider sacred not just unharmed but now immovably grown, their roots so down deep that nothing could budge them except my own choice to let them go, probably near the end of my life. I get to watch the fear not control me anymore. I get to watch the life inside of myself I've fought for actually come to fruition. I get to fly again. Isn't that just the best?

I have very in consistent dreams and can only remember a fraction of my dreams, some are wild and crazy, sometimes I lucid dream, and some nights I don't dream at all its very strange, but I love your vids

I really liked the guy from my school and I started back in January because of a dream that came out of nowhere. We are now going to separate high schools and we were I guess friends and all but nothing really happened between us and I continued to dream about him. I like truly liked him but I couldn’t get anything out of it and I’m not used to this feeling. Something seems special about him but we don’t really have anything in our lives together anymore. Why do I keep having these dreams? Why did they start out of nowhere? Help???

My dream is just my thought. I lay down. I close my eyes. I think of thing. I eventually fall asleep. I am still thinking of things consciously. They are just thoughts unless it is a nightmare or strange dream which happens every few months. Dream=thought. I dream of what I want. I wake up. I remember dream most of the time. I think it is how natural lucid dreamers fall asleep and dream. I guess I am lucky, I can be like ‘NOPE bad dream I’m switching’ and switch dreams. But this also means if I see something that gives me nightmares I will think of it during sleep and it cannot be stopped. No way. Unless I think of something else until I forget it. Lol.

What would it mean if you flop around on how you refer to yourself in your head. Eg. I will mostly refer to myself as *we* , then switch to me and I, and sometimes I will refer to myself in the third person. I just wanted to know what you think about that.

Well damn, I have tons of strange dreams which probably mean something really important :/ The first thing to note about my dreams are that they are like first person movies. In a recent very disturbing dream, it had a warning scene before it got to the disturbing part. And when I was about 7 or 8 years old, I had a dream which ended in ‘to be continued.’ The next week, I had a dream which was a continuation of that one. I also get recurring dreams from years ago. When I was barely 4, I had a dream about mermaids at a underwater football stadium. When I was 11, I had the same dream. There are a lot more strange things that happen in my dreams but these are the ones which happen the most.

I had a dream last night a here it is : So I was at a apartment that I don’t recognize and my guy friend was there and no one else but me, him, and his mom so it was his birthday and I gave him a gift and I left and ended up in what I think was the FNAF security breach daycare with moondrop doing a flip and I ran back in and tryed to show him and it was gone but when I went out again I saw sundrop doing a dance and then I woke up and I think Fnaf was in it because I was talking about it all day with my bff

Ive recently been having 'boring dreams' like going to school and work. However, I think it might be because I spend a lot of my time awake with my head in the clouds - daydreaming about my new obsessions and worlds. So when my conscious brain turns off, my subconscious tries to remind me that 'hey - you do actually have responsibilities and your own life.' Only works for so long- but it does sometimes serve as a personal reminder that I have to do something.

I succeeded in lucid dreaming once, i was dreaming about some weird rollercoaster in a themepark and i looked at my hands and my fingers were extending and shrinking so i realised i was in a dream. Once i was aware i changed the weather and made some celebrities appear and then i woke up😢 it was fun tho 🙃

I had a werid dream and Ik im late but I really wanna know what it means, so could you please help me figure it out? Ok so I was either in bed watchinng my phone or watching a movie. It was getting late so I was like “my vison sucks lemme put in my contacts tonight” (NOTE: *I have special contacts that I have to wear at night. They make my vison better in the morning so I don’t have to wear anything at all. I’m like depressed and haven’t been wearing them bc I am lazy*) but then I saw this werid eye shape on the wall and I got freaked out and didn’t go into the bathroom. I then told my sister. I’m not sure if I made this next part up or not but I think everyone had a cartoon cat head mask on their face. Yeah Anyways, that’s when I realized it was a dream. I tried waking up, asked my sister to pull my hair so I would wake up but felt nothing but a tiny tug. No pain. I tried for so long and then felt as if it wasn’t a dream and this was real life. Then I think the dream ended. This next part is not part of the dream, just something that happened to me that may be related. Me and my friend were just texting back and fourth. All of a sudden I felt a waves of confusion. I didn’t know what had happened for a few seconds, but after that I was fine. It kinda felt like I was dreaming at this point. Like my legs felt like I was dreaming. Idk how to explain it but it was werid. I felt like I was in a dream and non of what was happening was real. I knew it wasn’t but yeah. My friend told me to drink water so I walked downstairs and did. Might I just say THE WATER WAS SCRUMPTIOUS. After a few minutes of texting my friend I went to sleep. I know when I go to sleep. When I dream, there’s me reacting in the dream, and at the same time, I am floating above myself in the dream (like a spectator). I have always had lucid dreams. One dream was actually an extremely vivid nightmare that occurred while I was comatose from an actual car wreck. My ex was chasing me in an abandoned building - so dark inside I only recall grays, dark browns and different shades of black. (this is a man I am terrified of). I kept running, trying to find a way out, when I happened to find a very small window to the outside. At this point, I hear a voice speaking to me I’ve never heard before telling me to trust in his voice (in the nightmare) and to keep going toward the light coming from the window. It seemed like forever until I actually woke up from my coma. I couldn’t really speak well, but I begged the nurse ‘no blondes’. My daughter was in the room & she explained what we left, so the nurse had her get with hospital security & staff to never allow that person in the hospital. He did try to come in but was unsuccessful because my daughter reacted so quickly to the situation. I haven’t seen him since May 2008. NOTE: for anyone in any relationship where the other person is controlling any part of your life in an unsafe way, GTF away from them ASAP!! Alert law enforcement you trust to keep you & your children & pets safe!!
