An orchestral remix/remake/cover of the theme for the Core from Undertale using high-end sample libraries.
The original track plays in an area called the Core which is reminiscent of the Undersea Palace area in Chrono Trigger. As in the Undersea Palace, the music in the Core runs in a continuous loop uninterrupted by battles. The Core has a little more of an EDM feeling than Undersea Palace, but they are both incredibly catchy tracks that match their respective areas well.

I really like that despite the orchestral feel, there's no over-reliance on elements like heavy brass to make the song feel more "dramatic". Focusing on more of a string-fueled arrange keeps the feeling of the original much better while also giving the tune a whole new light.

The use of the violin is positively gorgeous. I didn't expect much from this piece, as I thought the digitized chiptune quality was integral to its sound, but you proved me wrong. Very enjoyable. Maybe the best of all of your Undertale covers. Consider me a new fan.

I've never played or viewed the game Undertale (I'm a generation or two too old for computer games), but I love your orchestrations and wish that I could have all of them on a CD to play in the car! Congratulations on your work; it's absolutely marvellous! :) My piano pupil introduced Toby Fox's music to me. Do you collaborate with him at all?

Sorry for the late reply and thanks so much for the comment! Most people dismiss video game music because of its cheaper "chiptunes" sound or because it comes from a seemingly childish medium. I've always believed that good video game music, especially the '90s-era Japanese RPG music which influenced Toby Fox's style to some degree, is compositionally good enough to stand on its own. That's probably the main reason I decided to make video game music covers. Anyway, to answer your question, I've never collaborated with Toby Fox, or anyone else for that matter. Also, if you want to listen to this with your car's CD player, you can download the audio of any RU-vid video as an mp3 file using one of the many RU-vid converter websites such as www.onlinevideoconverter.com/mp3-converter. After that, your can burn an audio CD (or mp3 CD if your car supports that) and listen in your car. I hope this helps!

@@georgeshaw4017Sorry for the late comment, but I think what they mean is that they didn't grow up with them, so they wouldn't even know where to start. Alternatively, they could mean they are too old to keep up with the act of playing, as in, they don't have the same energy that they used to in their youth. I myself am starting to get up there in years, and I am starting to notice a decline in my ability to keep up with gaming; basically, the desire is still there, but the ability to participate has diminished, does that make sense? At least I still have my Idle Games! Haha.

I love the inclusion of the sounds of metal clanking in the background, like in your cover of Undersea Palace from Chrono Trigger! I also like the use of a Cello for the rhythm, it fits nicely very nicely for the melody.

This is honestly my favorite cover of this song. I feel like the core was a big changing point in the game! This version really captures the urgency felt while the player is powering though, encountering, and figurining out where to go.

Based on the comments I've gotten, it seems that there are quite a few different game soundtracks that people are reminded of when they hear my arrangements. Some of these are soundtracks that I've never even heard before, but it's always a great compliment nonetheless.
