Here’s a short story I wrote. This story was inspired from the song. The sunlight poured in through the tightly packed branches of a damp pine forest. Your torn boots scuffed against wet, thriving moss. Jelly-like mushrooms were glowing under heavy slabs of stone, just barely prying through the tight crevices. A juniper bush was laden with berries, the boughs drooping under the weight of them. Dew from a pine tree above your head slipped onto your scalp. You looked up and gasped when you saw how many pine cones were just barely holding onto the branches of a short pine tree. They were almost in your reach, maybe if you got on your tip toes you could grasp one wet pinecone. But how many of them would fall down with it? A squirrel suddenly leaped onto the pinecone laden branch, immediately scurrying away in shock when it saw you directly under it. Its frenzy of movement sent the branch quaking, and pine cones began to rain down. “Agh!” you exclaimed as you covered your head to defend yourself under the prickly shower. After the last pine come plunked on your head, you stood up straight again and opened your eyes. You picked up one tiny pinecone, handling it carefully. You smiled and placed it in your spacious jacket pocket, which was ripped and torn. But you would never get rid of it, not when it meant so much to you. It still smelled of your old forested cabin, a hint of smoke. Even after countless rains it never washed the smell of fear and plumes of smoke from the fabric. You clenched your hands into solid fists. You swore you wouldn’t cry over that again. You wouldn’t cry over your house burning down. Never again. You sighed and released your fists. You walked on, looking at the ground. The sun was getting dimmer, you could feel the heat dying on your back, and you turned around. Cotton candy bathed the sky. Bright orange and wisps of blue followed. You looked around and found a wet stump. You were tired, and wanted to rest. After all, you were walking all day. You were going to keep walking. Just as your father told you, you would keep running to the end of the sky until he came back. If he ever did. You sat down and took out the tiny pine cone. You twisted it in your fingers. You sat there for hours, waiting for sleep to pass you by. A dull ache panged in your heart. You just wanted to go home. Wherever that may lie now. Just like the pinecones, your life had fallen down. And who knows when you might get back up? But you know, as long as the stars kept burning up above and the sun kept rising, you wouldn’t rest until you found home again. I don't have a lot of time left with my great grandma, and I've recently been thinking about her and her old house a lot. She's in a nursing home now and my uncle bought the house and demolished a lot of old things. The one place i had memories in was her kitchen, I felt safe there. She's in her late 80s and I'm rebuilding her kitchen on a game. It got me thinking, since she visited today. I'll go in there and talk to her for 30 min - 1 hour and then ill go to my room. I cried earlier because I know its my fault that I haven't spent time with her and that ill regret it when she dies. I feel sick to my stomach and i hate myself for it. She was my comfort person, someone I could talk to and now I'm getting closer to losing her, its like a fear of the inevitable. It hurts. It hurts really bad. (sorry for the rant, I just dont have anywhere else to say this and I feel safe here.)
Its not your fault. U didnt now as a kid how good is your grandma. Also appriciate time what u have left with him. You will have him always in your heart and your grandma will always watch over u. So just thank her what she gived u. And crying is a good thing because u release pain and thats mean that she is important to you.
I had a good friend of mine, I was 7, and they went on a beach vacation. he was struck by lightning on a clear sunny day. you will never know what will happen, but all I know is that one day you will remember all the good memories about that person, and you will enjoy the time you spent with them, because everyone has a time to go, maybe sooner or later. its going to happen no matter what, and you will be sad, but you will have those memories, that's the best thing to hold onto when someone is gone. felt the same way with my dad. i know i spent as much time with him as possible, but it doesn’t feel like enough. i have bad memory, so i can’t remember any of the things we did, and it’s killing me. i miss him so much. he was my comfort person, the person id go to when the day was bad. i remember getting home and running into his arms. i wish i could do that now. my mom got rid of his old chair, and it hurts. i want the chair to be back. i want the thing he spent the most time in back. i don’t care if it was irreparable, i want it back. i want to hear his laugh again, but we have no recordings. i want to see the dumb faces he’d make to cheer me up. i wish he wasn’t too proud for photos. i want my dad back. i wish he was just a tiny bit healthier. if he was healthier his heart wouldn’t have thrown a clot. nothing’s the same without him. school’s getting worse and i don’t have anyone to go to for it. i wish i could tell my mom my feelings, but she’d just call me ‘sensitive’ and to ‘stop letting things get to you.’ she doesn’t understand that i can’t just turn my sensitivity on and off.

Some people say this song is sad, some people say it’s happy, some say it’s comforting, some say it’s scary… I think it’s all of those things. Fallen Down isn’t just a song, it’s a completely separate emotion.
It’s supposed to give that feel of determination but slight internal doubt. Your character is sad that she’s fallen down into this scary world but knows she can get back. It’s also supposed to give a sense of comfort and slight urgency. It contradicts itself in so many ways it becomes ominous and dark yet playful. Literally the perfect song for a weird sense of comfort.

POV: You’re trying to sleep and just can’t. You’re scrolling though RU-vid and this comes up you listen to it with your dog sitting right at your feet and the calming sound of this puts you to sleep almost immediately. You are now in a dream like state where you hear this song and feel completely calm and relaxed. You wake up and realized you had the best sleep of your life and now listen to this every night. This song is so soothing and I can’t comprehend how it makes me feel but it truly but it kind of makes me feel like I’m in a completely different world with no worries or stress.
This song is like going through rooms, each one being a different memory of yours with your friends and family. Happy, sad, angry, afraid. But each of them gives you some sense of nostalgia. Then you come back to reality, tearing up, remembering every single one of those memories as you sit alone in emptiness.

It was like visiting through my whole life or something. My old house was the first stop ig. That place had alot of bad memories that somewhat brought me comfort when i was thinking about them, i was so sad when i had to move. But moving away from that place was good for me, supposedly. I was always bullied my "friends" and my brother, and sometimes even my cousin hollie. I was always sobbing in my little corner. I was 2 when i moved there and i had to move out when i was 6. I cried so much when my mom told me, i went to my "friend" for comfort and her brother told me she wasnt there even though she was right there in her room i could see her. So i went in front of their garage. And i sat down, and started crying by myself. Sorry for the randon rant, i dont really ever talk about stuff like this, and im probably never going to talk to the people who are going to see this, so i felt like i could talk about it a little bit. This song changes over the years for me. From being a piece of music I adored when I was younger to helping me sleep at night to making me sob until my face was dry and I couldn’t remember what I was crying about in the first place. This will continue to be MY song the song that touches the heart of my self and so many other people. The stories, experiences, emotions people feel from this song never fails to get old. I could read everyone stories in the dead of night remembering when I was kid and me and my friend will fuss over this came drawing the characters, role playing as them and just talking about the game and the content around it. Sometimes I forget this is from undertale like it’s a whole new song to me sometimes with different feelings with every listen. But when i remy we undertale and how the song was played in it, I cant help but want to dream about being in that world again in the underground with the monsters I’ve come to adore and love. I can listen to this song on repeat over and over again and the feeling is still the same. In my dark room, 3 AM of a Sunday, I've learned something. I have to go to school in 1 and a half hours. I haven't slept. Have a big speech and big projects to hand in. This song makes my anxieties float away and relax. I feel comfortable as if I'm somewhere else away from everyone. Darkness, in a warm bed, on the verge of sleeping, relaxed to this, but regretting my choice to stay up late to do the speech last minute. I wish I was in a void away from all responsibilities and everyone... Life sucks but it is what it is
Undertale feels like a dream, you dont really know your way around and you dont know whats going on at all. The thing that you do know is the there is always someone with you that guides you. The song gives you a comfortable feeling even though you arent even in reality. All of the bosses feel like all of your anxiety that gives you troubles in reality. This song itself has a tune thag gives you a type of happy feeling that as i said, feel comforting. It also feels a little scary, as if someone is watching you. All of the effects added truly feels like you are at home when you are oh so far away.
I just had to accept the fact that no matter how much I don't want to, I will always give up my own mental health to take care of others. This music feels like the perfect soundtrack for a night of crying, one day before school starts again.

This songs always makes me feel nostalgic, reminds me of when I was a little kid, playing with my brothers, no stress or anxiety, just playing all day and being a kid. Makes me sad and happy.
I have insomnia and really struggle with my sleep, but when I started listening to this as I fall asleep it's made it so much easier. Now, I listen to this every night and it's the only thing that will get me to sleep
this reminds me of things that are both comforting and painful, all the fun times me and my friends have had in the past, my childhood, when I first played a game that made me happy, some of the first fandoms i was in. all the happy ones surround my mind and cover up the sad ones, in a way it feels like this song sometimes just wants to give me that one piece of calm i've been looking for, the sad memory always come back but in a more comforting light. when my friends started ignoring me, which gave me time to realize how toxic they were, when someone asked me if they should just end it, they trusted me enough to tell me and listen when i said they their worth more then they know. I was just a kid back then and didn't realize just how much i dealt with or how much i helped people, hell even now me being more mature and grown up more i wish i could go back to the mindspace i was in back than, to just go back in time and revisit those old friends and ask how they are?, its gotten harder and harder but i know that 10 year old me would look at me and just let me tell her about what happened. I miss my old friends so much but in a way i know i need to let go and that's the worst feeling ever, so instead I'll just stay here, resting, and thinking on the all the good conversations we had together, because those memories are worth all the sadness, we didn't know we were making memories, we were just having fun. come and rest with me, take a break from life, grab some water, maybe get a snack? lifes hard and coming to terms with it is a lot, sometimes dwelling on the memories can change your prospective, and thank you. so much for listening to my rant. edit: I have taken my discord out, not because of anyone, I just am not in the right place mentally to help people anymore or at least rn, I mean i did originally write this about a year ago blegh, btw everyone who did msg me is amazing, all super nice and I appreciate it!!
POV: The End Is Near You wake up to hearing gun shots, screaming, and bombs. You hear an eerie song blasting and your body, mind, and soul feel like they are shutting down because, you know the end is near and there is nothing you can do to stop it. The song in your head gets louder and louder. You start to run from it knowing it’s the end credits to this disaster you call Earth. You run outside and all the buildings are gone and the trees burnt to a crisp. The song is calming but terrifying to not know when it will end. Because you know when it does, it’s over. All of your memories will fade away and you will suddenly be forgotten. You sit down on the ground knowing it will be over soon. All of your thoughts and memories racing through your head faster than you can count. No one is here to save you from the evil and filth this world has. Your vision goes dark. The screaming has stopped you know what’s going to happen. All you feel is tears running down your face and this eerie song from your nightmares. The song suddenly gets more muffled the darker it gets. You feel safe knowing it will all be over and you don’t have to deal with the pain anymore.

I showered got in my bed tiredly it's raining too and I got no school tomorrow and with this music I know I'm going to be alright after all those years of depression and sadness I am finally getting help and even tho all those years it was horrible I always thought to myself that you should never give up. Even if you only wake up in the morning that's a big step. You know why? Because you didn't end it. You stay strong and fight the monster on your way through life and remember that there is always someone who loves you and if you are going through something remember. You are special and it will all be okay.
This song reminds me of being a kid in grade 4 and talking to my old friends about Undertale. Even though those people are not my friends anymore i still have a special place in my heart for them.

I used to love undertale I talked 2 hours about it to my friends. I miss the old days about undertale. It got pretty unpopular and I don't know why' it was one of my favorite ever games
i didn't really play undertale but i do remember talking to my new group of online friends every day and night. i miss the memories, the laughter, the smiles, the talks, but i mostly miss my best friend who changed because he got a girlfriend. we all fell apart after that, and now i only stay in contact with two friends; i don't even remember when i last spoke to any of the others. who would've thought we'd all end up away from each other? we were just immature kids who wanted to have fun. it's been nearly three years, time really does fly - sometimes for the better, and sometimes for the worst.
I've always thought this was a sad song. I have memory problems and this song perfectly captures the feeling of forgetting old friends you haven't seen in years but then remembering their name and a blur of what they looked like the last time you saw them. It feels rewarding, comforting, sad and other so many other things that words can't describe. Having it muffled makes it feel even more like that. 10/10
this is so comforting but it makes me so uneasy at the same time. it’s so hard to describe. it feels like jumping off a building if you know what if mean, your falling, on no, you’re going to fall to your death. but the excitement of being in the air, the adrenaline. like it’s so comforting, your body is just floating and under you there’s the wind. it gives me so much nostalgia too, i have the best most fucked up childhood you could think of and i have nostophobia because of it. and funny, i’m not scared of this, even though it makes me feel empty inside, like the feeling you get on a role coaster :D

I hate studying, but with this song it makes me feel like Im in one of those really clear cartoons, sitting in a forest with just enough sunlight peaking through the leaves with the perfect amount of breeze gently caressing my skin sitting down surrounded by the smell of nature alone. I would like to leave a short story here that I will understand and see everytime I revisit. It will have a message in it for me, so just enjoy the story if you'd like to. There once was a creature of shadows. The creature lived in its own realm created by its mind. Occasionally, it would leave its realm to play pranks on people. Everyone got angry at the creature and hated it, insulting it constantly. This hurt the creature. Eventually, it would decide one last prank would do before it hid in its little realm. It played a prank on this girl living in a flat going to high school while she was studying. The creature turned the power off, but the girl laughed. Confused, the creature took the ink from her pen and put it in a little container away from her. Again, she laughed, and so the creature spoke. "You're not mad at me?" It asked. "Of course not!" "You're funny!" The creature smiled. Her reaction comforted the creature and made it happy. "Say, what are you?" She asked. The creature looked at itself in confusion and responded. "I don't know what I am. I could be a monster..." The girl smiled comfortingly at the creature and spoke. "You're no monster, you're a being whos finding his way through a hectic journey." The creature stared blankly and smiled, chuckling a bit. He thanked her, and left, promising to come back. Eventually, the creature did come back, and he spoke to her. They had many good conversations that they both enjoyed. However, she needed to leave. "I need to go. I'll see you tomorrow." She kissed him on the forehead. However... She wouldn't come back. The creature would sit and wait. In the meantime, a car had ended up in a bad crash with a truck, and she didn't survive. The people blamed the creature. Eventually, they stormed her apartment and confronted the creature asking why it killed her. However, it didn't know this happened and learning it shocked him. He froze, unable to speak or react before a tear rolled down his cheek. He burst out crying. Eventually, a member of the angry mob that came after him became his friend. ..or so he thought. A few days later, that person would make fun of the shadow creature and publicly out him and call him a freak. Eventually, a stranger in strange clothing and weird makeup would find the creature on the roof crying and talk to him to comfort him. "What's wrong?" "They always make fun of me.." "They always do that to everyone." "Always to me.." "Because you're different. You have a power, you aren't the same, in appearance or mindset, and people don't like that. But don't be like them. The whale didn't like itself, so it attempted to end it all. However, a lifeguard saw and pushed the whale back to see each time. One day, the whale asked "I don't want to continue... why must you do this?" The life guard responded with a sigh, saying "I see you and see my former self. You're lost. Find yourself, and fix yourself." The whale left back into the ocean, constantly being harassed and bullied by the other fish. The whale would let its prey swim away for the chase. Slowly changing each day. Eventually, the whale became a shark. Proud of itself, it rose above sea level to tell the lifeguard... to see the lifeguard in the ocean face down. The whale would carry them to shore to save them, barely succeeding. When the guard came to, she thanked the whale. The lifeguard and shark would meet every day discussing progress from then on. It's a story about my slow transformation from a kid whos fat and ashamed of it, thinking he can't do anything... to me being proud i lost 5 pounds because its a sign of my effort (and severe pain because my meds are somewhat the cause of the weight gain aside from me being a lazy bastard meaning i push myself too far) paying off for the better. Now, granted, the main bit of the first story is just about finally having found a friend who makes the bullying painless, but there's another side to it. A year ago a girl I was dating who kept me from beating up some kid over the summer died in a car accident. Ever since then I've pinned the blame on myself.

As you start hearing the music start to sound less muffled you feel a throbbing sensation throughout your body, you slowly open your eyes to yellow almost golden flowers around you "This seems familiar" you think to yourself You get up ignoring the pain and heading into the next room. Arriving in the next room you see one golden flower, but this ones different, its swaying back and forth as if there were winds, you get closer and notice a face on it You jump as the flower speaks in a high pitched voice saying "Howdy I'm flowey the flower" Then you remember everything Back in 2018 you played a game called undertale, you were heartless to it, killing everything including the flower in front of you. You quickly shut "flowey" up, stating your name (from the game) and tell him you know everything about him and everyone else. You threaten him to stay out of your way. "Flowey" shocked stays quiet. "Then let's skip all the boring stuff then, shall we" flowey states in a less cheerful manner. You dodge the floating seed like bullets in front of you multiple times until he surrounds you with them. "This is the end" you think to yourself... "huh? He, stopped?" "Good luck" flowey agrovatedly says moving slightly to look past you, he burrows under the ground to avoid the fireball that had his name on it. Your "journey" has only just begun as you look at the tall fluffy bipedal goat named toriel who stands in front of you with a worried expression on her face... "Maybe... i treated this world a little too harsh?" You mumble under your breath. "No... you did treat it too harsh" a voice in your head says unexpectedly.
A lot of people say this song is sad, and even more can agree it’s about endings, but I like the theme. It feels more like the acceptance of finality rather than dread of it. Things are ending, and things are changing. Maybe some of those things we’ll never see again, and maybe that’s okay. I think this song feels most like acceptance of endings, and cherished memories of the finished things. Everything is different, yet everything is fine. I love this song.
I am feeling so empty and this music makes me feel calm and at peace. I don’t know why I feel like this, I only feel sadness and anger. Either of these could be released at the smallest trigger but I just don’t understand why this is happening. This music helps me think and truly feel safe. I don’t have to worry about what I have to do tomorrow the people in my life that are bothering me. I feel almost….free. I needed a safe space and this is my only choice. Listening to songs like these makes me feel nostalgic even thought i only found this version of fallen down now and the original a year ago.I have this group of friends and we would hang out in these games for hours upon hours upon hours a day.we would mess around and chill out in general.it was the best time of my life. I still have their contacts but it doesn’t feel the same anymore.we are bigger friends then we were then but I don’t think I would ever experience as much joy as I did then.

Imagine this: You're at the forest, camping. Suddenly a tree broke it's trunk and fell, it was behind you so you didn't notice. You hurt yourself and tried to shout as loudly as you can to catch someone's ear, out of nowhere a strange creature jumped out of the bushes and held you tightly. You fall asleep and forgot everything that has happened, the tree was normal again and you continued preparing your stuff. The next day you decide to explore so you grabbed your backpack, packed your things and went to a journey at the forest. For hours you saw magnificent views, you found a perfect spot to rest and lied on the grass. You see a shining spot behind a few trees and bushes that is inside a cave, you went there to see what it was. You found an amethyst-colored crystal that is roped and hanged to some rocks. You wanted to claim it so you try to look for a big stone to stand on, you stood on your tip-toes and reached your arms as high as you could but then you fell, as soon as you closed your eyes the crystal disappears. " Your curiosity is quite high, your cleverness is too. You may be worthy.. But i am not sure. " A random voice whispered to your right ear, you went back to your spot to try to forget about it, you enjoyed the rest of camping and went back home to the city.

This song is like happiness and sorrow, the low notes are when your day is gloomy and sad, and the high notes are when it’s happy and fantastic. But it’s always a mix you never know when anything is going to happen, your day could turn right around. This song probably means a lot to people for help like studying as I’ve seen in the comments, but no other song can compare to it. It’s always nice to hear something decent with just a sound, notes, and something that relates to games. It’s always the best of songs that no one understands, yet love so dearly. To anyone who has lost a loved one or someone you knew that was your friend, I am deeply sorry and this song has helped me grieve. I have a story where this song has a lot of importance, because it has the feeling the story is supposed to give: She sat on the roof, looking around watching everyone walk by. She saw the one she was looking for, and waved. But all he did was look at her in disgust and walk away. He did that every time. She knew why, she'd seen herself, but she was still her. Finally, she saw the only one who could understand her, the only one who spoke the same as her. He walked up to her and waved, she waved back. He walked away the same as the other one did, but not out of disgust. She thought about what it was like before she looked like this, the monster she'd become. She wanted to cry, but her body wouldn't let her. She got off the roof and walked inside. She looked at the picture on her wall. Her favorite picture, him and her. Before she was a monster, before he hated her, before *she* ruined her. She heard a knock on the door. It was him, the one in the picture, the one disgusted by her. He gave her a note, written in the only language she could understand. It was in his handwriting, it was his note. She couldn't believe it. Did he finally care? Then he started to cry. "I can barely even look at you like that." He left, running back to his house. She fell to the ground, shocked by what she just heard. She started to cry, the color falling down her face and onto the ground where she was sitting. *How could he say that?* , she thought. She stood up and shut the door. When she looked in the mirror, she didn't see a monster anymore, she saw herself. Finally she was back the way she was before. She ran out of her house to his. He opened the door, and his face went white. She waved at him, and he waved back. She hugged him, and he hugged back. Neither of them could believe it, they were together again. They always had been, but now he believed it too. She finally had him back, she finally had her brother back. The only one who could understand her, her brother's husband, came downstairs where they were. He smiled at seeing them together. He cared about both of them and knew they needed each other. So did they. All she wanted was her brother, and now he's here. She was back to normal. Now all she needed to do was get rid of the one who made her a monster. I kinda got carried away from what I was meaning to write and added useless details but here you go.
I cant express the amount nostalgia i am getting those times we were as children, all those times we hung out, the times where we had the best experiences and the times we spent with our family if you are still with your family or relatives spend time and make the best of it.

If ur depressed its not easy but u all should try this it helps me so much: U try to study for 2 Hours like around 10pm and then u make urself a tea, Coffee or just ur comforting fav Drink. U sit infront of ur Window and light as many Candles as possible. U put this Loop on( use Headphones!!) and open the Window. Write as many bad things in ur Life down as u want to and just scribble them on a paper. It doesn't need to look pretty. If u like to draw ur feelings then do that. If ur done just take a knife or smth and cut the paper in tiny pieces. If ur done just put them inside of a cardboard box and look at the moon. U should put the cardboard box away or throw it out of the window. Go under a warm Blanket maybe also with ur Pet if u have one and just close ur eyes. Don't Forget the candles!!
