I don’t know how to describe this song. The best way I can say it is that it’s lonely and depressing, as if what plays through your head 1,000 times when you are depressed. Somehow, though, it’s still comforting.

Ah 2023, and it still holds up. It's mystical, empowers an aspect of me I didn't know was there. As if being alone at night is no longer a burden. It brings peace were there would usually be despair. Despite waterfall being the OST of the third main section of Undertale after the Ruins and Snowdin, I'd like to think that with the music is sorta where the true gravity of things kicks in depending on your route. You can just tell with the music how the true weight of the monsters' desperation for freedom was. And you, someone who they're at your mercy, could choose to either save them, or end them without a second thought. But that's okay. You can just reset over and over. I feel like the music for this part just feels alot nicer especially after you played once. Because while yes such a realization of why the music sounds as melancholy as it does is good if you catch it the first time around, it just feels more heavy the second or any play throughs after

The soundtrack, I think, is a significant part of what makes Undertale such a uniquely personal and intimate experience for people. The Waterfall theme in particular stands out to me as a track that evokes a sense of loneliness and longing like no other song I've ever heard. Every time I walk through the area in the game, I feel like I'm missing someone or something that was either never there to begin with... or I just don't remember what it is.

I’ve never known what it is with this song however if I do listen to it to fall asleep. (Common that I do because insomnia makes it a struggle.) this song will always cause nightmares. And not weird ones, truly scary ones. Getting caught in car wrecks head on, a family member passing, etc. And I feel like that captures the energy of this song pretty well. It’s comfortable and relaxing but something within captures a darkness, fear colliding with peace. Thank you for reading my small blip, I just find this song interesting lol

....я вспомнил, как в 5 лет меня посадили за компьютер. Мне на выбор дали 2 игры. И я выбрал андертейл. Прошло 7 лет, как я помню...и люблю эту игру. Это мой самый лучший саундтрек который я слышал. Он самый крутой, необыкновенный, и самый лучший. Я буду всегда вспоминать эту мелодию....)

you ever just think about that one boy/girl/nb from church/school/work that you've been friends with for, say, almost a year and have started crushing on so you finally get the nerve to ask them out and they end up saying "sorry, I just don't know you" so you go home and stay in your room and don't get out unless it's for something to eat/drink or to use the restroom and you sleep your days away so it's almost like a coma and everyone's asking where you've been and you've been ignoring everything because the person you liked the most told you those six words that one day? that's what this feels like. (I'm gonna get to know this guy from my youth group at my church and when the time is right, I'm gonna ask him out. Wish me luck, I'll update when I can!)

@Lego Freak thank you, but it unfortunately didn't go so well. He left me on delivered for 21+ hours and when he finally did respond, he said "I appreciated the effort, but I'm already talking to someone else." and he asked if we could still be friends (to which I said "of course").
