I love how the genocide run doesn't revolve around Chara and DETERMINATION, but around Clover themselves and JUSTICE/JUDGEMENT. Clover gains LV because they need it to deliver justice. They gain the power to SAVE because Flowey clouded their judgement. They literally disregard their own physical boundaries and manifest destiny because they personally felt that an injustice was dealt towards their fellow children. Together with Clover YOU become judge and jury to their world, and both of you start calling the shots. It's like there is a mutual understanding of Clover's initial mission, justice for the fallen humans, and the both of you have turned unrelenting in your efforts to achieve that.

@@jacksonvoet8312I don't think Clover really cares by that point. They were blinded by their now-corrupted sense of justice, to the point where Axis's programming didn't matter to them. He was a murderer in their eyes, so the ability to distance themselves from and capacity to hurt him skyrocketed. And then the _murderer_ (again, in Clover's eyes) had the audacity to beg for his life? To them, that's laughable. It's disgusting and hypocritical. It's _unjust._ Besides, Clover doesn't get the context of that one human incident until the final fight with Martlet, iirc. All they know is that in geno, they're seeking revenge and passing judgement upon innocents due to their warped sense of justice.

@@jacksonvoet8312well, you die if you let them hit you long enough and running away option doesn't always work, so at least fighting to the point that you can spare your opponent is justified in my opinion. Like, seriously if someone starts battling you irl, you are not going to try and deal with their mental bullshit so they don't want to fight you anymore while dodging their attacks, you're going to either run or fight back

The moment when Axis' shield breaks and he just starts pleading for his life while Clover charges up, gave me chills. I suppose Flowey in the UT genocide route already showed that you don't need a soul in order to fear death.

To be fair, Axis is clearly panicking at this point so isn't thinking rationally. He feels a lot of remorse for killing Integrity because it's something he never even WANTED to do or had any intention of doing; he was bound by Chujin's dodgy programming.

We should remember Clover did make the jump into Mt. Ebott looking for the missing kids, and they probably didn't know about Asgore decree to kill all humans going in, so this was the first time Clover learned about the fate of the other children. If you pay attention to Clover, then you'd notice they feel very strongly about the other humans.

My interpretation is that Clover was consumed by revenge in this point. That is why the Level Of Violence suddenly increased so much. One would think that the LV is measured according to the number of monsters killed, at least that's how we saw it in Undertale. But here, in this route, Clover has turned into a vengeful soul, a heart full of hatred(literally) determined to accomplish the mission no matter the cost. At least to me, that is already a very violent individual, even if they have killed fewer monster-people than Frisk/Chara in Undertale genocide route. There is also the theory that LOVE does not only stands for "Level Of Violence" but also for "Level Of Vengeance".

Exp is execution points, how many you've killed. Lvl is level of violence, how willing you are to hurt someone. Clover jumped up several lvls because they really really really wanted to hurt axis when they found out axis killed a human

One thing I noticed... Axis isn't just a robot. He seems to be a sentient being. In all the playthroughs he shows a variety of emotions: anger, joy, infatuation, sadness, frustration, and in this route especially, genuine fear and panic. Also, when he dies, we hear the "monster turning to dust" sound. But something especially scary about Axis is that...he's aware of the effect his programming has on his behaviours and actions, often against his will. He wants to swear, but he can't. His programming automatically censors his language. He wants to scream and shout, but he can't. He didn't WANT to kill the fifth human; he was programmed to do it. Imagine having a limited grasp of autonomy over yourself and your body, being physically hard-wired to do things and say things you don't want to, that go against your principles...and you're aware of this happening to you and there's nothing you can do about it. Can't even begin to imagine just how SCARED this poor little guy is.

To support your argument, there is a tape behind chujin grave where he talks about how axis is different from the other robots he made... maybe after killing the human, he absorved some of the children soul, or perhaps he absorved LOVE? After all, it is Level Of Violence. And i bet both the human and the robot had against each other... well, just a theory.

LV means LOVE which also means Level Of ViolEnce. Clover's LV went up because Axis said that he killed a human and that only gave Clover another reason to kill the thing. LOVE, as explained in Undertale, means that the higher it is, it's easier for you to kill someone else. Clover was straight up angry and wanting *justice* for the other human.

Is it just me, or is it even more horrifying that when we are not controlling Clover because in the original UT and DR, we control Frisk and Kris, but like Kris, Clover just basically killed Axis without us even needing to control them. And if you look at Kris, you can realize this is truly horrifying if you see how enraged Clover was when they killed Axis due to them neutraizing INTEGRITY. 😨

At this point, Axis Genocide compared to Axis Pacifist feels like a Celeste C-side vs a Celeste B-side. It is far harder to not get damaged by everything in Axis Genocide, but it is far shorter than Axis Pacifist.

No, I don’t think Axis deserved to die here. Axis was forced to do this against his will, we see him say, “I am sorry.” And, “I didn’t want to.” I feel like the person who most deserved this punishment was Chujin, he programmed Axis to kill the human, even if the robot had his own will and did not want to kill them. Axis was a murder weapon, Chujin was the killer. I’m not saying that Axis is 100% innocent, because we don’t know the full extent of his willingness to attack any humans during this, but Chujin deserved Axis’s fate much more than Axis did, in my opinion.

I feel like a bigger point that people are missing that until axis said something, clover was under the impression that Asgore took the lives, not their people. Axis confessing to being forced to kill that human means it was more than just asgore, considering that the steamworks is abandoned. Clover's senseless vengeance is technically "justified" because more monsters are guilty, rather than just asgore.

I think its really neat how, some way or another, Clover learns how to use the yellow soul ability and use it in battle. In the neutral route flowey forces them to use it in order to destroy his peddles, in pacifist you use it to fight cerabo or whatever i dont like the pacifist ending in uty, and in genocide you learn it because you need it to destroy Axis's shield

Do consider that most if not all the robots in the steamworks are basically falling apart, Axis is by far the sturdiest machine there, and also Clover is using a gun, not physically hitting, so I think it’s at least plausible that the trash can lid could at least deflect some friendliness pellets

I like how Clover can use magic In this fight they shoot a big laser beam and it destroyed Axis This makes sense since humans can use magic Because they made the barrier Which was made from magic in the original undertale and most fan games Humans magic capabilities was not explored. So it's very unique to see it in this fan game I feel like it should have been explained why humans don't use magic often. And what makes them able to use magic? You probably didn't kill all the robots, because when you go into the green computer room, it turns of all the encounters in steamworks. So you have to kill everybody in steamworks before going into that room. Many people have faced your situation so I suggest searching up the solution, which is to edit the save file.

This fight is incredible and I absolutely love the track, but Axis' offense is wayyy too high in my opinion. Storywise, it would make more sense to lower the amount of damage Axis' attacks can do within a Genocide Route due to Axis' capabilities compared to Clover's stats.

You have to kill a certain amount of monstas in each room of a region. Example: Kill X amount of monsters in room A (Get another encounter but it shows a red X instead of a checkmate) Proceed Kill X amount of monsters in room B (Get another encounter but it shows a red X instead of a checkmate) Proceed Kill X amount of monsters in room C (Get another encounter but it shows a red X instead of a checkmate) Proceed

Adding up to the comment above, when you get "But nobody came." in an encounter, it means you killed every monster in your current area and you won't have to kill anything else other than bosses.

@@SnowingFluppyOficialWell of course this is a fan gam, you must remember, However if you wanted to try to apply a lore reason, neither human or monster creatures are weird. Flowey for example is the remains of a monster with some determination in a flower. Monsters aren’t meant to hold determination, and Flowey also is able to fuse with both monster and human souls. It’s likely robots are closer to humans than monsters, so they’re able to get EXP.
