Make sure to check out the official game at: gamejolt.com/g... Dalv musters his fighting spirit. Silly guy! (Forlorn should be the 14th upload but things got screwed up a bit)
@@Tedted2001 first I've heard of that. Isn't the final stage of depression more about treatment resistance? I've never heard of a depressed person having a sudden shot of happiness toward the end of their life.
@@sammoore2082 It's when they decide to end it. From the outside it will look like they suddenly flipped a switch and are not depressed anymore, but in reality they are planning a trip down the sewer slide.
probably the only major characters song that i think doesnt fit the character not saying its bad but i cant really see it fitting dalv like when you hear protocol, showdown, guns blazing and a mother's love you can really get a blueprint for the character (stuff like martlet's clumsiness in how random the melody is, cerobas seriousness with how intense the instruments are, showdown showing starlo's goofy side with the random cowboy moments while also showing he can get serious) i feel like with this song they couldve done a better job of emphasizing dalv's loneliness and shyness
It very much seems to be a theme fit for the boss battle itself moreso than the character. For the character, at best it's... a vampire theme I suppose, and I guess it shows that Dalv is actively trying to be hostile - or, to be more accurate, trying to push you away, but the intensity for the theme of the first boss tells the player "this game is going to be harder than Undertale was; beware and be ready." Admittedly, it's been I think nearly a decade since I've played Undertale, and I'm still working my way through my first playthrough of Undertale Yellow, so whether or not it's actually harder than Undertale is something I can't really speak on.
I see a lot of people saying this track doesn't fit him, and I hard disagree. Going hard does not mean it doesn't sound depressed, lonely or tragic. The melody here gives to me at least the impression of someone who has a regret filled past and apathy filled present, while the final-ish part leans more into the apathy than lonliness. Just me though.
