I would imagine that the shield used in this fight would actually be able to deflect Clover's Soul Beam, and Axis's strategy from the moment he realizes that would be to try and bounce your shots back at you while sending attacks at you to encourage you to shoot towards him with his attacks now being destructible.
i like to imagine that axis has his "ticked off meter" or whatever it was, and the more you piss him off, the more he opens his eye if it's fully open then he just instakills you on the spot by hitting you into the lava
@@mishagaming1075I-I WORDED THAT POORLY, HOLD ON! The only exception is the end of the fight, which will ALWAYS fully piss him off. It's essentially a timer of how long you have until you die. You kill him by shooting his pipe before he pushes you in, and then you push him in.
@@Anonymous-hx3pu Either that, or I discard my pipe idea, and replace it with the pipe eventually breaking, and you push Axis in the lava, seconds later.

I just realised the name is a darker version of the saying “tomorrow means the surface” that chujin used and seemed to be the main driving force of the steamworks
Axis should've brought an U-Pipe for return-to-sender purposes. Jokes aside, it would be cool if Axis knew you were a murderer, and went berserk because you killed the monsters he was made to protect. I'm talking Full-body-overlock, override Steamworks mainframe to pull down steam for both power and offense, and go god-mode on you. He failed his purpose, but he will not fail any more, even if it results in his own termination, if the entirety of Steamworks has to come crashing down just to end Clover, to ensure no other monster gets hurt because of them, then Axis will make it'll all come crashing down. Also I would've expected the colors to be orange and/or whiteish gray, because, you know, boilers(fire) and steam.
Would’ve been interesting because orange is bravery, which it would certainly take a lot of to stand up to clover like this, though perseverance works pretty well for that too
Instead of clover hulking out to beat axis axis hulks out so much they melt from the heat being produced, when axis dies, the facility starts crumbling and clover has to escape, the path is hard because it changes from debris blocking the path, auto sprint is forced on. 3 minute time limit
I like to imagine when Axis spills the beans about the Human he killed and Clover gets their Justice Blast, the shield can actually tank the laser. Your new objective turns into chipping down the shield with the laser. In which after Axis will try to do one last desperation move by blocking with his pipe, which breaks of course. That's when he begs for mercy.

One thing, what if axis had some sort of crack or line starting at the top of the head and ending at the middle of the torso, reflecting how he (honestly terrifyingly) dies

love the use of purple in this art, representing perserverance, though I personally think orange would make more sense as he is undeniably brave in genocide, not reckless nor cowardly
