Bubble helmets made by LAMA were used by the BBC in the UK for a marine program. This bubble helmet was also used by a Japanese TV program. Although it has the advantages of making the performer's face more visible and allowing the use of a high-performance microphone, it has been replaced by the use of full-face masks made by Diveways, Inc. in overseas program productions because of its complicated maintenance and operation, in addition to the difficulty in controlling balance underwater and ear removal.
