UNESCO Chair: Models of Teaching Journalism for Sustainable Development 

On 6 April 2023 the UNESCO Chair in Journalism and Communication with the support of the UNESCO Almaty Office opened the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Models of Teaching International Journalism for Sustainable Development" (MTIJ).
This academic platform is now in its seventh year of bringing together interested academics and practitioners to discuss ways to achieve high standards of education and implement UNESCO's priorities for sustainable development. Media executives, scholars, and mass communication researchers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland, Turkey, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan will also take part in the conference. Master classes of leading specialists in the field of global and national journalism are planned.
