My biggest PERCH to date and not only did I catch one PB but multiple PB Perch...The Lake Michigan waters out of Indiana in the Spring hold some of the Biggest Perch that I have ever seen.
What an awesome video, man. I just found your channel. (Bryan) I've used perch pounders before but never with raw shrimp. So much more convenient than minnows. I'm going to definitely give that a try where I fish (Lake St. Clair)
As a teenager back in the late 70s early 80s I used to have to be home by 8:00 pm on Fridays, when my dad would come home typically with 2 , 5 gal. Pails of perch this size to help clean them, BONUS, he let me take as many fillets I wanted to share with my friends , they still talk about it to this day
@@outdoorbelievin5259 thanks so much I know about the weather just asking since,. I’m wanting to get into some fishing,. No videos really out there talking about there boat,. Love all your videos especially the perch fishing hopefully I get to do some perch fishing this fall in navy pier area,. Thanks
@garyluchansky2674 you don't need to but with these Big Perch we like to bleed them out...This keeps it cleaner when you fillet the fish and keeps the meat nice and white. Makes for a better quality fillet. The smaller ones we usually don't bleed them.
@@mitchtravani2228 i have never in my life had yellow or even red perch come out with anything but white fillets. I never bleed the fish. I either clean them live or i put them immediately on ice. By the way i think we should import red pearch to stock select reservoirs. They get bigger than yellows and are just as tasty.
