Really??!! can't believe this happened today. So this turned into a short tutorial on how to use and set the Frequency Shift on your Tek-Point PinPointer to use with your Legend Metal Detector by Nokta Makro. Unfortunately, the Tek-Point falses at its default settings with the Legend also in default settings. The Tekpoint has 16 Frequencies to shift from and use which is a huge advantage over other pinpointers.

That would have been the perfect opportunity to use the extra battery pack if you purchased the pro pack. Which reminds me, I need to charge my battery pack for the weekend, in case I need more juice. I went beach hunting with my buddy and the same thing happened to me using the Nox 600. Luckily, he had his back up Nox 600 with him, so it all worked out.

Thanks for the freq shift info... I completely forgot about that feature.. as far as battery life.. I got 3 hrs usage and consumed 1/2 my charge... using external speaker and "VIBRATE" Book says 8-20 ... if you got 19hrs" man you got your battery's worth Jerry

Joey, u use backlight too? 3 hrs is very little time. Something is sucking up your juice. Hopefully not a lemon battery. I'll have to invest in a backup external battery myself.

Yeah you got a bad battery my legend with vibrate and external sound last over 8 hours easy

Nice to know how to change the frequencies on the Trek Point pin pointer. I've always pointed my coil away from the target so I've never seen any falsing with my TRX. See you use the same hand digger i do. Love that digger just wish it had a better sheath lol. Too bad the battery died lol. Would have been a great time to have the external battery. Happy hunting and stay dirty my friend.

Hey Texan detector yeah that sheath was horrible, ripped the side of it after a few uses it was so sharp. I duct taped and i still have it but don't use it since I put in my pouch now, thanks for watching!

Jerry, I bought a tek point and I don’t like it. For me, it’s extremely difficult to select the strongest mode, vibrate& sound. And when I get there, and shut it off, it doesn’t seem to stay there. And then I start all over again. I’m going to sell it. It’s too stressful for an old man like me.

Lol, Terrance I agree it can get confusing with it's settings. I occasionally have to retune and calibrate it just to make sure I'm getting the optimum performance all the time.im deaf in one ear, so it's very easy for me to screw things up and me not even be able to tell. the pinpointer has extreme depth and is one of the best I have ever had as far as depth. The white trx is pretty good if you can find one it's fairly difficult to mess that one up. I'd recommend reading manual every now and then if you decide to keep it. Thanks for watching! Hopefully I can get out soon, I got sick for almost 2 weeks and threw me back

2:05 There are no concentric coils for the Legend (yet?). The 6 inch is DD configuration too, not concentric, man. Concentric = a loop inside a loop DD = two loops crossing each other Some people mix things up when it comes to Round/Eliptical, Concentric/DD. Some will misuse the term "Concentric" when in reallity they refer to round coils. But round and concentric are not the same thing. The shape of the coil and the configuration of the loops are not the same thing. DD and Concentric both can be round or eliptical. ps: Yeah your battery was probably already nearly empty but so you know, running in 4kHz will drain the battery faster too. Apparently lower frequencies sucks more juice.
