The time for gan 15 release is actually mid october stated in their gan 15 features video.

sliding does not exist for smart cubes

From what I have seen on the Gan smart cube app, they will likely release a smart 2x2 soon as well. With the SSL update, they added a whole new 2x2 section.

I think that videos are needed for wr as proof and obvious stuff but not for specific stuff like sliding (if WCA stays with their poor decision)
